@tranced - Nope . . . and NEVER involved with this: FAR, NEAR or even a STORE - MANAGER . . . software/firmware upgrades, SEUS, SHOES, ZEUS or what, just take the PHONE as . . . IS !
I'll just wait for others who have the SAME problem as mine

Again, my dilemma is: ALL my SAVED messages GOES to my SIMCARD, though I was given (2) options where to store it: SAVED MESSAGES or TEMPLATES . . .
Thanks!

Heh... I can understand what you mean Jo, I try not to mess around with my phone's software if I can help it, but I think a firmware upgrade is relatively safe. You could get the service centre to do it for you too, if you don't wanna do it yourself. Does your phone have an Inbox folder at all, Jo? I'd find storing my messages on a simcard problematic due to the limited capacity. If you find that a problem too, I'd recommend upgrading the firmware.

Nice to see ya here! Wow, three K750s? You must be so lucky! Yup, I definitely like the camera lens cover on my K750i, it does a good job of protecting my K750's camera lens.
Thankyou! I'll probably sell two of the K750is on when (hopefully!) fixed, should make a bit of money on them with any luck!
Yes, I found with my W810i that even if I was careful with it the camera lens was still getting scratches and marks on it, plus I wasn't really using the Walkman on it, so sold it on and decided to use a K750i, pretty much the same phone but a bit cheaper, and it has a camera lens cover!

Hmm... Just last night, something weird happened to my phone. I was turning off the power and there was a crackling sound, like there was a short-circuit inside. Thankfully nothing happened to my phone, didn't blow up or anything. Haha... But I'm just curious as to what caused the crackling sound. I've been taking really good care of my phone and it's never been exposed to a single drop of water, neither has it been dropped before. I wasn't charging the phone at that point of time, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, then it suddenly just crackled. Apparently it happened to my friend's K750i as well, but she said that it had been exposed to a few drops of rain. So at that time I thought perhaps that was the reason for her phone crackling. But mine? Hmm... Wonder if anyone else has had the same experience.

I got a K610im just a couple of days back and boy am I disappointed. I did some research online prior to that and it seemed like it was almost perfect for me. Pity it doesn't support java apps, which is very important to me since I use the Gmail app and do most of my browsing on Opera Mini and I'd hate to have to go without Esato on my daily commutes.
I did read in one of the threads here regarding installation of java apps on the K610im prior to getting it, but it was inconclusive. Googling about it didn't help much either. So I actually asked to sales reps from two different shops and they both weren't sure about it but believed that there wasn't any limitations regarding java support on the K610im.
Of course, compared to my K750i, the K610im is more advanced in many ways. It supports up to 1000 contacts and SMSes, copy and paste, backing up and restoring contacts from memory stick, has A2DP and can run more than 1 java app at any one time (what good is this if I can't install the java apps I want?).
So, I'm back to my trusty K750i and still loving it, despite the minor issues I had with its joystick. I just got it back from the service centre and they told me they replaced the entire motherboard (I was quite surprised because I only complained about the joystick becoming a little insensitive).
They upgraded my firmware from R1CA021 which wasn't giving me any problems, to R1DB001, which doesn't seem to be any different, except that I encountered the problem with the shortcuts on the directional keys resetting themselves. Thankfully that only happened a couple of times and has not occurred again since. Apart from that, sound quality through the speakers seems to be a bit poorer, but I could be wrong. Have not had the chance to test the sound quality through my HPM-70 yet.
Well, having said all that, I'm really glad to be using my K750i again. I'll probably be selling off my K610im soon, I don't even want it as a backup phone. I'll be waiting for the K770 to be launched, and in the meantime, I might see if I can get a W810 at a good price. Does anybody know if the W810 supports up to 1000 contacts, 1000 SMSes, copy and paste, backing up and restoring contacts from memory stick and can run more than 1 java app at any one time? If yes, I think I'll be going for it.
