Hi folks,
i downloaded this awesome piece of software yesterday. It worked fine with several tv shows in xvid codec and a few mpeg clips.
Now i tried to convert movies which are allready stored on my harddisk. Actually i tried one divx movie (divx 3 low codec - according to the info m3 gives me) and one xvid movie (just xvid codec).
Both Movies are about 700 mb large.
The Problem is that M3 triys to convert, and as soon as the encoding prosses should start, the destination folder pops up and the movie is not in it. Thereīs no encoding at all.
Remember - the tv shows worked quite well. I converted for the p990i. All settings, exept the aspect ratio (id like m3 to keep it) are left default.
Has anyone encounterd simillar probs or has anyone an idea what could be the Problem.
Newest divix codec has been installed - nothing changed. The Preview function embedded in M3 doesnīt work for me (regardless which file i try - even the working tv shows - m3 crashes if i try that). So therefore i canīt post the error code of M3.
Please help me,
thanks in advance.
@mysh

Quote from further up this page....
"
Note to everyone
do NOT use 'DRC volume boost' when converting AVI files, this will cause the conversion to fail. This bug will be fixed in a new release soon."
Try disabling DRC volume boost for AVI files.
My cheapo asrock motherboard (that i got to add the dual-core support to M3) went south on me on monday, so i've had to get a new one and re-install windows etc etc.
This has me a few days behind on the next update for M3, but it's coming soon.
Thanks to people who've emailed me error logs.

I'm sorry Mysh! I love M3 but the latest version don't let me convert AVI-files. I trid your tip but I got the same result: "There is a problem with M3 and it will be shut down." Then you get the option to report it to Microsoft. It's the system who shuts it down. Is it a problem at my side or is it the SW? It worked flawlessly with the previous version.

I'm also stuck at version 897, as 898 disabled my audiocard for some reason...

I also have the latest version and have no problems with M3. As long as you don't use the two volume options avi files and DVDs convert OK. You can use QuickTime to check the created video files before uploading to the phone.
