Hilarious :S Nothing went as expected. The download was complete at 27%, the update was done at 52% and the phone has the new software and is working though i had to restart it twice in the beginning. Very bizarre.
The updating software needs to be more stable and accurate.

@ dr_thug,
when I went from r3a01 to r3b01 it took about 2 hours, because I guess SE's servers can get a little swamped. At least they've put a progress bar, before I had to keep checking the size of the download folder to be sure it was doing anything. In fact, that's probably what you want to do - find the folder SEUS is putting stuff in, and keep an eye on the size of it? Can't remember where it is, sorry.

Regarding the new 'close all tabs' button in Opera some people have been talking about: For me (Generic World 1 fw) its feature is not 'close all tabs' but 'close current tab' (I tried with three tabs open). Has anyone actually gotten it to close all tabs?

Just upgraded my fw and unfortunately I forgot to do a proper backup. Now my BBC is not working anymore. The actual sw runs, no problem reinstalling, no problem connecting to the dektop sw and it downloads the calendar etc. However it will not connect. When starting the BBC service starts, the calendar warning comes up as usual, the globe comes up to indicate connection and then disconnects. Status says (in sequence) not connected, connecting, package data, APN connected, not connected. Then the connection is dropped.
I spoke to SE tech support and they said it is supposed to work and had no clue why it did like this. I do think they are right though but need someone who knows BB to give me some pointers please.
I spoke to our BES administrator and he said that the account was still ok.
I am currently in Europe but my SIM card is with Singtel (Singapore).
After reinstall I went trhough the whole installation process but when sending the registration messages, the two top alternatives on the BBC configuration meny, I do not get any reply.
Thx

Aaaaauuuuurgh!!! I can't commence with the SEUS yet! For some unknown reason, I am unable to back-up my P990i. The device keeps cancelling the back-up. Something to do with the 3rd party applications. When I un-check it from the back-up list, the device still cancels the back-up! I am at a loss...

BBC 3.37 will not connect on the new firmware.
To quote, if you read back a few posts:
"bondizi:
Is BB Connect 3.37 working for anyone on R9A ?
Or do we need 3.45?"
"floatlite:
I have tried all the tricks I know to get BBC 3.37 working on the new FW, but it defo does not work.
Problems I have found are
1. Autostart does not work (due the lack of a new signed cert for UIQ3)
2. Manual start leads to the service trying to connect, and then dropping the connection.
3. A clean installation of the BBC onto the phone makes no difference, same issues.
I have contacted SE on the UK and am awaiting a call back from them to see if a newer version of the BBC is available from them yet.
regards
David"

Thanks Doc!!Heres my mini Review.
The phone is definitely faster...the speed i wanted.
Can see a "online" icon in Tools.
Phone asking for type of USB use i want.
3rd party Icons which were comparitivly small in size like that of 'Gmail' have been stretched to the size of other icons(in list format..slight increase in size in grid format).
Black colour for links for when u scroll over thm in opera(previously it was pink??)
Bookmarks tab is replaced by close tab.
Faster browing with Opera(using gprs)
Iam able to run a max of 7 applications...but 8th makes the first to 3-4 close.Tried hard to make the phone autoshut...can't

Huge Improvment.
Sound volume has increased when using earphones.
Videos are loaded faster.
Now am very happy with my Phone
PS: Is the Alarm Bug solved??dont wan't to try it out soon.

Well,the phone is still buggy......
1.The screen backlight is still on when the phone is closed and charging...
2.In my language (Greek) with T9 on only 72 chars/sms
3.I have already my first restart for 'improving the speed of the phone' reason.......
4.What is the purpose of the 2nd language virtual keyboard??It doesn't work....(take a look at the photo...)
(this keyboard is supposed to be the 'English' language keyboard....
5.Battery lasts less time now....
(sorry for my bad English)

I don't believe the alarm bug is fixed. I had managed to set 2 phantom alarms, and one was certainly there after upgrade and restore. Hoping vaguely that the alarms might cancel themselves properly if I let them go off...
