For those with WLAN connection problems, care to reflect back on the steps that caused that error? I have yet to replicate these steps again, but when I tried to scan for Wifi networks and switch to some other apps, the OS will keep thinking that I'm still hooked onto my previous Wifi connection even when I disable/enable WLAN. Repeated "Scanning" for Wifi networks will display the error "System busy" (or something like that) followed quickly by "No network found". This bug means that I'm hopelessly stuck with a non-existent Internet connection even when the phone thought existed and I have to reboot the phone. I did not check if giving it a very long time will resolve this bug "naturally" or not.

I received a new 3G SIM with my handset so I loaded the contacts from my old SIM onto the P1i. I checked the list and everything was alphabetical, ie in the correct order. I then put the new SIM in my phone and copied the contacts across (mark all/add to SIM) - they are in a jumbled up mess on my new SIM though! The phone has not sent them across in the correct manner. It will take me ages to edit them. I have deleted and retried three times but each time the same result.

I have som problems similiar to yours, but I have the HBH-DS970. Sometimes the sound "hangs" and i sounds as if the connection is interrupted over and over again. I just turn off bluetooth in the P1i and turn it on again. Then it all works smoothly without more hang ups.

yeah could be a simple BT interference problem, or maybe your network providers connection is poor.

I have two bugs that nobody else seems to have mentioned so hoping its not just my phone.

1) The alarm never sounds when the phone is switched off. This works fine with K610im and Moto Z8 so its not an SE or UIQ thing.

2) If you exceed the number of characters for a text message and then delete some characters so that it fits on one message, the phone never reduces the number of messages needed to send i.e. it will still think it needs to send 2 or 3 messages.

Does anyone else have problems with either of these?

Thanks.

1) Sony Ericsson symbian/UIQ phones have always worked this way so this is not a bug

2) I always type too much and always slim it down to 1 message and the only way I could know its 1 message is if the characters/messages display changed correctly, so I can say that I don't see this behaviour at all

edit: just tested 2) again and it works for me as expected

you really need to sync contacts to be on the safe side.. all phones have different sim reading/contact setups...

Masseur,

thanks for the feedback.

1) Well, that's pretty lame. So they've consciously chosen to do this on all SE/UIQ phones, when other SE phones and other UIQ phones behave differently? Guess I'm going to need to buy an alarm clock!

2) I've tried this morning to replicate the text message "feature" and I couldn't. It has happened to me at least 3 times though, which is weird. If I can, I'll grab a screenshot next time. I've clearly seen it say something like "70/2".

Yes and the reason for this is that u are using special characters in your sms.

You are Italian I guess ?
Try to replace your special letters (with accent) with normal letters, e.g. é with e.

I switched my phone off last night intending to charge it as I slept. On plugging the charger in the phone switched on! So I had to put it in flight mode and leave it on. Can it not be charged whilst switched off??

when I charge my P1 when off, the backlight lights up but does not switch on. This is the same behaviour as my M600

were you using the USB cable to charge from PC or the standard wall charger?
