i were thinking that the right pad could be higher so it could be easy to play

Yeah it may be different levels, but try holding something like hat in your hands. It makes no difference that your hands are on separate levels, because your hands are not linked...

it does work... just not as well. Remember gamers are very concerned with:
Position during playing (as in with the device)
Placement of keys
Games
Graphics
Bonus Features
