Build quality in my opinion is solid , the back is pretty sturdy & don't see there being any issues with creaking over time.
The camera i've only had a brief play with but seemed pretty decent with plenty of options & the pics on my pc monitor looked very good for a 5 megapixel snapper.
as I say overall the phone software is super zippy with no slowdown & some really good added features like X-loud etc...
it's just I feel over time the screen size may prove an issue for me for what i will need my phone for so am going to have to sell it on.

Oh good. You should have bought it online from Carphone cos of distance selling regulations you can return it.

Price's in India
Xperia Mini - 15,000rs [€236 , $340]
Xperia Mini Pro - 15,700rs [€248, $356]
Both
Prices seems to be reasonable
I'm sorry, but if the above is true, the Mini is horribly priced.
1. No front camera
2. No QWERTY keyboard
and yet only ~Rs. 700 cheaper. Pricing FAIL!
12k would have been the sweet spot for the Mini.
Btw, just checked, also available @ Letsbuy: 14.2k after discount coupon
Agree with you..Seems Only in India Mini n Mini Pro is Expensive and rest of the worth its quite cheaper..
Their seem no difference between Mini n Mini Pro Price.. Hope they Reduce some more Price Quickly..

Hey guys... Don't mean to hijack the thread or anything, but over in
another section of the forum I posted a question as to whether or not this phone would work at 3G speeds over on T-Mobile USA's network...
Anybody know? How slow would 2G transfer speeds be if 3G didn't work?

@Bonovox
Sorry for all the questions- want to know whether it is worth upgrading to this from the old x10 mini!
How are you finding battery life on the new mini? Is the mini that you got from carphone warehouse unlocked and runs unbranded software? e.g no orange icons etc
Thanks a lot

This phone is definately unlocked, as it is SIM Free which means it's not proivided by a network but by the phone manufacturer/retailer. In fact all Carpone Warehouse phones are unlocked whether on contract or PAYG as the last phone I bought was unlocked as it was on orange and when the contract ended I put an O2 SIM in it and it worked.
I'm just waiting for it to be sorted out on PAYG as they are advertising it for £149.95 but have no networks signed up yet. This is how they get phones early (i've not seen it in any other high street retailer yet even SIM Free) but obviously have to wait for the networks to sign contracts for a new phone (only 3 of the big networks have signed up for pay monthly deals at the minute)
