I understand your pain, after all your major conquest was nearly winning to "the best team of the world". Well, the greeks did it, without much fuss;-)

The only team in the history of the tournament to beat the the host country AND the defending champs. I am so happy right now. So far, so good. England lost to Portugal, and we beat France. I even think that I am lying to myself when I say that! I feel bad for Zidane, as he is THE BEST and my favorite player. My only complaint about Portugal. I wanted to kick the shit out of Engalnd. But, you did a fine job, and I thank you. And nobody can say that Greece got lucky tonight. We completely stopped their entire game. I was shocked myself to be honest. Now we have to wait and see. I am scared to death of the Czech Rep. But you know what? I was scared to death of the French, too. Speaking of, where are there supporters in this thread. I guess that it is better to have no supporters than ones that just bitch and blame the refs for everything, i.e. England.
On a side note, the Olympic Torch passed through Paris today. Kind of wierd, isn't it. And a round of applause to France for being a classy team. They will not be on TV tomorow saying that they got robbed. Once again, like England.
OMG, Greece made has made it further than England ever has in a foriegn country. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

@ceco: do I detect a tad of bitterness towards England there with regards to football? Not gloating at all, are we?!??!
I think people here do tend to overreact a lot about football because it's the national game, and we haven't won anything in it for a long time. I have to admit I find a lot of it does get a bit tedious after a while, and I'm getting sick of hearing words like 'gutted' and phrases like 'we wuz robbed'.
It seems that some supporters of other teams (e.g. Portugal, Greece) are almost, and in some ways less gracious in victory than some England fans are in defeat

@sammy, i'm on other forums were the english showed more decency accepting the result without bringing stupid excuses. Thus, in those places i didnt have the same attitude (sometimes arrogant). Here, and in twilightwap, after reading so much bull...., i decided to give them a taste of their own remedy;-)
