I found out a nice trick to get access to the wap browser without having to connect to a wap site. On some branded models, you have to connect to the operator's wap portal before you can even start the wap browser. Sometimes, you want to connect to a site that you have bookmaked, but because of the branding, you have to visit the portal first in order to start the browser. The trick is to store a xhtml file in the others folder in the phone, which you bookmark and set as your start page. If you then press the internet button on ther right side of the phone, you go directly there. Before, there has been described a similar trick to start the mail program using mailto://, and this is similar.
1) First create an xhtml file, it may look like this, a vert smal lexample:
<!DOCTYPE html
PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<title>Min startsida</title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#b9dbf4" link="#000000" text="#000000">
<p align="center">
<a href="http://wap.esato.com/wap/#esato">Esato</a><br/>
<a href="http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/portal">SonyEricsson</a><br/>
<a href="http://go.telia.se">Telia Go!</a>
</p>
</body>
</html>

Save it, and name it wap.xhtml
2) Next, transfer it to your K700 using IR or Bluetooth, and place it in the "other" folder.
3) Now, start the wap browser and go to bookmarks, and create a new bookmark. Name it "My startpage" and specify the address file:///tpa/user/other/index.xhtml
4) Try it, and if it works, go to bookmarks, select the bookmark again, and under "More" select "use as startpage"

The next time tou press the "internet" button, the start page will appear instantly. The xhtml file is esy to edit on the computer, but beware that the phone's browser is very sensitive for syntax errors in the xhtml code.

Hey there genious folks! I am a simple man trying to find the answers to two questions:

1) How can I download all the pictures in my phone in one go? I have infrared and I have to download each picture one at a time! Try that with 30 pics!

2) I have tried everything from turning the meeting profile on to turning the volume to zero, it always makes a sound when taking pictures.

I ve got a K700i Type: AAB

Bought it in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Any ideas? Do I update software or somethign like that?

1) use a program like fma and select all your pics if you are doing from pc to phone (google it)
2)its all to do with firmware. you need to change the fw but usually depends the country you are in because some have made it impossible to disable the sound

1) If you have a computer with Bluetooth, the absolute easiest way to transfer files between the phone and the computer is to use bluetooth file transfer protocol. The "file system" appears in an explorer-like window on the computer, which can be used to drag files to and from the computer. It is also possible to select and drag many files in one go. The games and programs folders do not appear in this window, however, but you can send a .jar file to the phone by dragging it to the phone icon a few levels up from the file system view. The phone will recognize the file and understands where to put it.
A bluetooth USB dongle is very unexpensive if the computer does not have bluetooth built-in, and I really recommend it!
2)You can't turn off the camera sound. In some countries, there are laws that states that digital cameras must emit a sound each time a picture is taken. In very early firmware versions of the k700, it was possible if you selected silent mode.

My friend daniel,you just entered the SIM LOCK menu.It could be entered with <**< in older Ericsson models.BE VERY CAREFULL! Do not enter any code there (ck,nck,spck) if you do not have an appropriate code from ur SIM card provider! Please note u have only 5 attempts for each code type! If they are wrong,the lock pad icon will appear locked with an 0 value nearby, so you will not be able to even use your own SIM! TAKE CARE ABOUT IT! This message was posted from a R520
