I have had the phone since 19 th of june, so up to 20 charges some left. I think the battery time is quite lousy, but so is it also in my SX1.

Recurrent reminders are missing and are very useful but T6x0 and K700 have one thing that fights that: Outlook sync!

Not valid for me. I'm on a portable computer running LINUX, and I am therefore not able to use Outlook.

So it is no excuse for not having the option to add recurrent items in the calendar.

hello everybody

i have just bought my K700i today, and what an amazing little phone it is..
just blew me away at it's size and sleek looks..
any way, on to my question
i have not turned the phone on yet, just put it on the charger, but the light won't turn off (the light for the screen and keypad).. is this a software problem?
or what exactly?

sorry if this has been asked before..

thanks

Regards
Ali

Allright..!
I finally get SE to replace my Z 600 with the new K 700i...Only had it since last evening..Man call it obsession or call it love..K 700 is my second GF..
Allright..I checked out a few things like mentioned earlier..The 2 key and the 3 key are essentially loose..But only if you twiddle them out..Not much of a problem..Camera is great..Defenitely better than Nokia 6600..
The Video is good but shows a few glitches..like when u play a low quality video on the PC and u get some sqaurey patches..Like that..Is this common..
Yes the first time you charge the phone does not switch off the display lights and key lights..Its better to switch on the phone and set lights to automatic this way they turned off..Okay see the phone had like around red bar when I got it and used it for 1 Hr all included talktime/stand-by/games etc..Then it switched off when the battery finished..I came home and place it to charge and it completes the charging in 2 Hrs..Is that Normal..BTW K 700i in India is being sold with the BST-30 Li-On 700 Mh battery...
I'm going to the market now to purchase an Ir-da Port for transferring MP3's to the phone..What do you all suggest Ir-da or Blue-tooth Dongle,,Ir-Da is like Rs.600 ( $ 13.3 USD) or Blue-Tooth - Rs 1250 ( $ 27.7 USD)...

Thank you SE for creating the K 700i Thank you...

hi guys

the problems with my k700i is

1. disappearing phone contacts
2. bluetooth freeze
3. phone light sometimes didnt go off even in settings i have set it to power safe mode
4. keypad sometimes doesnt autolock even in settings have been set to autolock on
5. ringing volume is ok if i use mp3. but kinda soft if its midi. very soft in fact compared to my t630
6. and like every1 else battery dont last too long. but its getting better once i swap to a non-animated theme.

any1 have idea when will be the first firmware be available?
cause these problems r kinda annoying because i m afraid of losing important contacts and currently i have to use the provided handfree instead of my hbh-65!

Remember the problem mentioned with the recurrent alarm not going into snooze mode? Well I've just switched over to an O2 SIM and now it works 100%. WEIRD.

Jovin, what mode have you selected to save your phone contacts..The K 700 i allows you to save your contact in SIM - or in Phone memory..Why don't you check this out..Maybe the contacts have been moved to the SIM Memory..
Waiting for the FW to b released soon...Another suggestion is that get the phone flashed at the nearest SE service point..Maybe that will help solve your problems..One more thing is that Yes! K 700 i plays MIDI little low..as compared with your T-630..But even lower when compared with my Ex- Z 600...Guess its got something to do with the 40 Chord speaker they have installed in this phone as compared with the 32 Chord speaker in our previous models..!

Arrrrrggghhh! I'm pulling my hair out now! Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

* PC Time set to GMT + daylight savings (London Time)
* Phone time set to GMT + daylight Savings (London Time)
* Sync phone with outlook calendar entries
* Every entry in the phone is 1 hour late! i.e. A calendar entry in Outlook for 0900 is now in the phone for 1000!

I've tried numerous combinations of time and time zone on the phone and no joy. Any advice?

I've had the phone for 7 days now. Problems with voice dial, problems with calendar sync, problems with persistent crashing, problem with ringtone not played through headset in handsfree mode, problems problems problems! At least I can get more than a days charge though!

I donīt know where you all with those problems are getting your K700i but my model bought in Portugal doesnīt have 1/3 of those...

No missing numbers, no Outlook problems, no "2" / "3" keys mumbling around... the only two stuff I noticed:

- when I delete some SMS with "C" key they still apear in screen after the deletion (though if I go to "More" => "delete" this doesnīt happen). BUt if I return to main screen and go to SMS folder itīs gone (so no big problem).

- one time when I switched from video => photo mode K700i rebooted and another time, in the same situation, it freezed. In 7 days itīs all I got.

===================================================

By the way, I noticed the "animated-theme-ungry-battery" thing. In these 7 days I found these (aprox.) values:

- economic mode (in screen light) increases up to 10% battery time
- screen light off increases up to 10-20% battery time
- static themes increase up to 5-10% battery time (thatīs a lot!)
- MIDI ringtones (vs. MP3) increase up to 5% battery time
- camera / flashlight eats A LOT of battery (specially video mode + flashlight!!!)
