its down again guyz.i am not able to browse anything from today evening.i m not getting any response from the server.Have anyone facing that or not?please reply

yup, its down again but changing browser identity is working.Speed is approx. half of normal ~ 2500B/s . Sites like orkut r not working even with changed identity of browser and perhaps Netscape is also blocked now. So beware.

Now here is some info for all ppl who cant browse when airtel puts on its lame ass blocking technology. I am gonna explain 2 methods to bypass this
METHOD 1
1) This is the simplest method and the one that I use. This method applies to firefox browser. Just download and install this firefox add-on from
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
2) Restart firefox and goto tools>user agent switcher>options>options>user agents and click add. Now create a new user agent using any name and version but it shud not be IE, firefox, opera or netscape. In my case I have entered it as 'Jing Explorer 1.0'
. Set this as the active one. Thats all now u shud be able to browse most of the sites. (except gmail)
3) The applications that do not let editing their user agent will not work anyway
4) Flashget lets us specify a custom user agent. Go to tools>options>protocol and there u can define ur own 'User agent'. Once this is done , flashget is ready to download!
METHOD 2
This is an universal method and especially for ppl using other browsers and those who wanna use non browser applications also.
Download and install this software called 'Http Interceptor' from
http://www.siliconwold.com/interceptor/interceptor_home.htm. This one sets up an intermediate HTTP proxy on the local computer and it changes the 'user agent' on the fly in realtime by intercepting traffic. I have tested it and it works gr8. This is how u configure this app
1) On Http interceptor, click on 'Intercept' tab. On this window u must enable two options, 'Withhold proxy tag' and 'Change user agent' and then set the 'user agent tag' to something like 'Airtel exploder 1.0' or other. lol
2) Now click on 'setup' tab and here u need to change 3 things.
-enable 'Connect to proxy'
-set proxy name as 100.1.200.99
-set 'connect to internet on port' to 8080
3) Now click 'START' and interceptor is ready
4) You must now configure ur browser and all applications to use http proxy on 'localhost:81" . Now u r ready to Go!

I was also not able to use gmail. But then i could get thru by browsing via

I'm now working through my free bsnl gprs. But the speed never exceeds 2 kBps. When i checked the number of download slots that i get(via field test FTD) it snowed 1 instead of 4 that i get in my 6630 with airtel. Hey jing are you in tn.

as it eleminates the "Ur IP is already downloading"; "U ve already downloaded" & the 40sec 2 180sec counter that U get 1s U get a free slot
