@Everyone; sorry guys for my abscence, been given more responsibilities (without pay) at work, so less free time to gist.
@AYA, If the GPRS signal is not Glo's then whose is it?
What do you guys think about MTN's free sms, and increased access days.

@angel: MTN is testing GPRS; and both Vmobile and Mtel now have GPRS as well. Seeing a GPRS signal on your set (depending on the particular set) could mean anyone of the above.
Good one there
by MTN, these new validity periods. Good things do come from Nazareth!

Well done Aya, the regulars seem to be returning. Welcome back Brym, Angelgirl.
@Aya: I have a friend who requires internet access over GPRS on his notebook pc. The options are 1. Using the in-built modem on his SE S700i and a data cable 2. Using a cardphone like the nokia D211 or SW aircard750. What would you recommend and why? If it's up your alley, PM me with a quote.

This is interesting. Did someone go call you guys or did you just show up by yourselves

? This feels like revival!!
And don't forget to thank our South African friend brix25. A comment/question by him seemed to be the catalyst of this re-awakening.
Now, I dont want to hear anything more about someone being the most regular, or most anything. Let's each take this thread as our personal responsibility and see if it wont do so wel.

Ordinarily, yes; so you may be right. But like I said it depends on the phone. From experience, their are some phones that reflect another network's signal in areas where their own network is weak or non-existent. So, where Glo GPRS did not exist, such phones may from time to time indicate GPRS presence - but its another network's.

@mamba: From what I read in the dailies, 50k will get you 400mhz, 4.3gb, 128mb RAM. Except you meet someone who wants to sell one desperately for money, you will be needing around 70k

@mamba; The 8800 has steel casing, scratch-proof screen, great display and most importantly nokia positioning[to deceive buyers that they belong to a different class...fashionable and loaded]. Believe me it is not worth the price tag; the proprietary software is just a little different from 6230i.
About the laptop... where you won get Pentium 3 laptop for 50k if not fairly used or factory refurbished market?:D
