We finally took the plunge and got ourselves another four-legged friend. This time we went the route of a animal rescue facility called DARG which is situated in Hout Bay.These people do fantastic work.Hats off to them all.She is a 6 week old female and we've named her Shoda and she is gorgeous. What Breed is she? Your guess is as good as mine but who cares hey, shes got a great home,a loving family and lots of love.

About DARG
DARG is a pro-life, non-profit organisation that rescues, cares for and re-homes abused, neglected and abandoned cats and dogs. It is our vision to be a leading example of animal sheltering in South Africa.

How DARG came about

When DARG was founded in 1995 by Cicely Blumberg, Leslie McClaghlan and a group of caring volunteers, it was initially a shelterless rescue network. DARG eventually rented, at a very nominal fee, 28 dog kennels from a Mrs Harrop who ran a boarding kennel. For three years more and more dogs found their way to DARG, and almost 3000 dogs were homed.
Tragedy struck with the passing of Mrs Harrop, and the property was put up for sale. A search was on to find a donor who would buy the property and let DARG continue renting the kennels. It seemed impossible, but after much wishing, hoping and prayer the miracle occurred.
Early 2000, Mr Antonio Giovanini with his wife Joy, who was at that time one of the DARG directors, bought the kennels and land. This was put into a trust and can only be used for no-kill animal shelters.

Three cheers for Mr Antonio Giovanini and his wife Joy.Angels they are.

If you live in Cape Town and want to get a pet-cat or dog please give DARG a try.Its heart-breaking stuff seen all the animals that need a home but you'll make a huge difference to one of their lives.I'm also going to try and do some volunteering work like walking, playing and feeding the dogs on weekends. Those buggers need some serious TLC.

87GB for the month so far, speeds seems constant, even though they are shaping a lot, i do get 50KBS during peak hours.

You tube videos loads faster then i can watch them, and speedtest.net local speed test averages at 2.8mbs - 3.5mbs.

Anything else?

Unfortunitely not Wangs. The Proteas are not very high up on my sport viewing at the moment.I see they were eventually restricted to 120/7.I see the Windies are 2/9 and their big man Gayle is out LBW bowled Steyn.Maybe in with a chance.

Just looking at the Supersport website countdown clock to SWC 2010 - 21 days 18 hours and 1 minute. Can you believe it?
It is here!!!

@Hobbs: Indeed we do but I think the final should've been played at much larger venue. Using one of the World Cup stadiums would've been better. Orland Stadium only accomodates 40k spectators.
