@GUCCI Got some replies on my iPhone on Gumtree for sale ad.Check this one out. What do you think?

Hi
Would you be interested in swapping your iPhone for a 32Gig Nokia N97, two months old with box and all accessories?

Regards

I have to decline.I want the sale to cover my pay-in on the X10 so I can skip the phone finance.I've put it on for R3000.00 4 people want it.Just gotta phone them to make sure Im not dealing with a dodgy.Theres another swap for a Sony Ericsson X1 & a Blackberry Storm 2.Gumtree is amazing. If you get bored of your phone, you just make a fair swap.

Went into Cellucity today and I can get an addition 7 days off,so Im looking at the 10th July.Whoo-hoo!

Hobbsta
Thats realy good, lol you seem to be very excited to get the X10.
Glad you declined. The N97 has been THEE worst NOKIA flagship, there are tons of people on the forums who dropped their N97s and gone back to the 5800xm or jumped ship to the iPhone3GS.
Im still very uneasy about online trading, especialy after what happened to Falcon and his 5800 ,ive been tempted to trade my K850 but i doubt i'd get anything over R1000 for such a P.O.S phone lol.
7days off? Do you mean 7days less to upgrade? Lol 10July? Thats 2days before me,im trying extremely hard to convince myself to wait for N8 instead of jumping for Vivaz or X10 on the day,i get this feeling il have an X10 you're gona make it extra hard to resist when you get it.
R3800? WOW! I doubt you can even get that much for a N95-8GB, those iPhones holder their value well.
Goodluck with the traders, hopefuly they are the real deal.

Someone is too impatient for his upgrade. Good for you Hobbs! At least you found a phone you like.

@Tsepz_GP

I'll take that P.O.S off your hands for R50

Yeah, that phone isn't worth much thanks to SE. It had potential but was screwed by SE.

At least they are doing their best not to screw up the X10.

Dups
Every time i pick up the k850 i think the same,it could have so easily been a sweet phone, what a shame realy.
That X10 is looking great, im just trying to imagine how awesome it would be to browse with OperaMini5 on that 4inch 854x480 screen, i realy am wondering if forgoing that for HDMI, USB OTG and Symbian^3 is worth it.

Yeah, I have also been wondering about web browsing on that huge X10 screen. Moving from my 2.6" P1i screen is going to be quite an experience.

On whether to go with the X10 or the N8, you are more than comfortable with Symbian so I think the N8 is the phone for you.

It is wonderfully specced and I have seen the last video of its performance and it is looking pretty good for a proto.

I am looking forward to seeing SF^4 to actually see how Symbian has evolved.

Thanx for the advice Dups, thats very true,it can be quite a headache having to adjust to a new OS, especialy one that im not entirely into.
Also watched some N8 videos, in one of them the guy was running 15apps with no lag,and the new taskmanager looks great
SF^4 is going to be very interesting, complete break from S60
Have you started considering getting the X10 if nothing else realy interesting pops up?
Hardware wise IMO X10 seems to be future proof, lets just hope it gets Froyo, that would realy make it a beast.

@GUCCI Ive done online selling before. You just gotta make sure you have a nice long chat to them on the phone (you can usually tell if they dodgy or not) and we'll do the deal at my flat (my block has security) so everything will be cool. Also i know advance kung fu.I can disable someone just by using my baby finger lol
I have read and read and read stuff about the X10 and regardless of some of the negatives (you'll know what im talking about if youve browsed the Esato Official X10 Thread) my mind has not been swayed.Once the updates come rolling out Im sure the X10is going to be a beaut.
You get three month before expiry to upgrade plus I found out you can squeeze another 7 days.Give Vodacom a ring and see if you can do the same.
@DUPS Impatient is an understatement.Im going delerious.

Hobbs just can't get GUCCI out of his system. You're not alone Hobbs, at times I find myself wanting to write GUCCI instead of Tsepz.

@GUCCI or rather Tsepz_GP

No, I'm not into the X10 mainly because of the following: low call quality (in ear) and late software upgrades.

I agree that the hardware is definitely future proof.

I just don't have the heart (or need) to replace the P1i yet. It still serves me so well after 2 and a half years of service (gee, doesn't time fly...?!).
A few random P1i pics taken over the past few days:
