You are aware the M600 was released right after the coming soon tag was removed from se site1&zone=pp&lm=pp

As mentioned before the removal of the coming soon, does not mean anything. It could still weeks out.

Don't worry...the p990 will be v e r y soon in your hands....
Sonyericsson just remove the Z550 too from the 'coming soon' list and now only p990 is left.......

I have a serious question.

> does ANY1 have a track record they can reproduce here of the # of delays & dates promised for release from official SE brass announced PUBLICLY on their site or even in large news conferences or newspapers?

From the posts on this site and googling it, I have:

1) When they first announced it
2) a delay to June
3) a delay to August (per their eShop, not an announcement. They did mention that they were concentrating on m600 for time being)

so, I think most of the delays have been 'generated' in the forums, not officially from SE.

a question for those in the know, what is the little slider with the key symbol on the side if the 990? i was wondering if it was a proper keylock that locked ALL the keys? i have more than once dialed 999 with the phone in my jeans pocket.

@locoworks
According to the user manual this button locks the keypad as well as the screen. So I assume that all the keys will be locked; anything else would be anything but useful. At least I hope so
