^Thanks! C6903 is the only one that lists it in its whitepaper, but even then, it says "only available in certain markets". all the others have H.264

BTW .. as requested:

HANDHELD TWILIGHT MODE (top) vs. NIGHT SCENE MODE (bottom)

both shot at 8mp 4:3. They seem pretty similar in this situation, but i'll have to test it more to know when it will be more beneficial. That being said, I think HHT produces a slightly sharper photo.

@ moogoo , your dispaly looks EXACTLY lime mine guess handtec has the same batch, however I still think the screen lottery is pictured to be more terrible than it is, I think its moreso the taste of people, some people get botherd by it more and complain more, the people who think its fine and love it will not express their opinion as strong.

Its like you go on the Apple forums Mac computers are the most terribly thing invented according to the forum, but then that is just 0.0000001% of all mac owners because noone goes on a forum just to praise the quality of the laptop or the xperia z1 here.

Ill post some pictures later but I dont seem to have any sort of blur on the right hand side. I have not made any software or firmware update at all, not sure if that matters

sonymobile website says there's a newer version of the firmware, but i'm guessing we won't get it until Z1 is officially out in north america. pc companion doesn't detect it, even though it's there.

i should go look into rooting .. no! i need to get back to work.. ugh.

well that sucks. not a good move by sony, but perhaps they didn't have a choice since they really wanted a carrier to pick it up and help them market it, the way tmobile markets the Z.

i'm guessing tmobile will be picking it up. the question is, which version.. C6906 or C6903.. and for how much? if that $743 is sony direct price, then Tmobile is probably gonna price it at $649 or $699.

the good thing, is if you're willing to pay the full price up front, tmobile WILL unlock the phone for you. the bad thing, is you're still stuck with all the tmobile branding and bloatware.

guess i made a good decision ordering form handtec.. i hate branding!

you are 100% correct - you can blame the open market in the USA - nothing like healthy competition right, T Mobile had to jump through hoops of regulation to even operate there and it is in name only - nothing else about the T moblile American brand is remotely close to how it operates anywhere else on the planet - closed shop - which in my humble opinion is quite pathetic - the carriers rule the roost and there's not much you can do about it

Companies like Sony can only sell product there if they comply - the LTE channels is a fine example of that fine free market f'ck up

Can someone upload me that pic from the flowers you guys are using on the photos to "test" the Z1 screen? I want to put it into my XS and test the angle view of it, because it seems that mine has a awesome visibility angle...

Anybody else having bad reception from WIFI? At my end it's neither really bad but not good either. Where my 4s has good reception my Z1 sometimes is looking for it

Check out this thread as well : http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/[....]ption-on-Xperia-Z1/td-p/534476

what I have found is that the wifi signal indicator on the NB is not really worth looking at - if it's lit up at all then you are connected
