Excellent! Now the fun begins. Start with Titanium backup and Swype. See your PM.

I have downloaded SWIFTKEY onscreen keyboard for my HTC Android, and Its the best keyboard i ever used, especially the predictive text part that learns from the way you type.

Whew! That was a close call.Installed TypeFresh. Its an application that allows you to change your system fonts.Transferred Tahoma.ttf across to SD Card, changed all the default fonts to Tahoma, phone asked to reboot itself, rebooted and got stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo and never went further than that.
HEART ATTACK!
Forgot to charge battery so it was sitting on 20%.
Tried to fix using SEUS.No go.Says got the latest firmware and an option to EXIT.
Tried PC Companion but obviously for that to work the phone has to be on so you can mount it.
Thought of Hard Reset but couldnt find a method of how to do it if the phone is switched off like on the Nokia's Ive had.(if anyone knows how to hard reset a X10i when the phone isnt up and running let me know.Googling didnt help much.)
Just got home and thought I'd do the whole ROOTING again and upgrading to the newest firmware.
So far so good.
Step 1 complete.Just downgraded to R1FA016.Switched on phone and everything is working good.
Just plugged it into charger now to get more juice before I continue with step 2 (upgrading to R2) and then step 3,(ROOTING.)
Its good to know that if anything happens to this phone I can just use Step 1 to flash it to the R1FA016 firmware.
Some sites said there is problems when you have to downgrade and that is what was worrying me but obviously that isnt the case.
Thats the one problem with ROOTING or JAILBREAKING your phone. You are bound to download stuff that just plain and simply
F@#KS it up.
Did it once or twice with the iPhone and same with the E90.And to think about it now,it always had something to do with the changing of system fonts.
They did warn you that Android and some ttf fonts arent compatible, but Ive used Tahoma on every phone Ive had and thought it wouldnt be any different.
But its all good.
I now appreciate this phone a hundred times more than I did yesterday.
Love it when that happens.
Your phone dies and something clicks in your head.
Stop
F@#CKING around so much with your phone I think the little voice says.
My objective in the beginning wasnt the ROOTING of the phone,it was the R2 firmware I was after and I must remember that.I got the latest firmware now,so I should just chill. The ROOTING was a bonus.
F@#K FONTS!
But I do so love Tahoma.
Mmmm, maybe I'll give it another bash then lol

Yep,going to be a bit more on the cautious side of things from now on me thinks..The upgrading and rooting procedure is pretty basic now that Ive done it twice so if I run into any probs it aint a trainsmash.

I recommend that link I gave you for Newbies. Its pretty straighforward and it works everytime, all two of my attempts.
Have a great weekend y'a'll.
Hi Wangs. Are you pretty busy that side? Are you going to watch the rugby tomorrow morning? Im hoping for a reverse result this time round. To win one in KIWI Land will only do our Tri-Nations campaign a whole lot of good.

It's a colleague's at my vac work,i don't think the cover is so bad cos the x10 is just naturally sleek.rather safe then sorry.I'd only take it off on special occassions hehe...
You think symbian 3 would be able to be installed on current symbian phones?

I've given up on rooting for now Hobbs, every time i do it i get to step2, click that option 6 SD card, the phone then shows those 4dots, but it only gets upto the 2nd dot then boots up again, and its still on R1FA014, will wait for another method to pop up, ive used up so much data, YouTubing, downloading files etc...
Gola
Cool bro

, i have no idea hey, the hardware in phones like the Satio should have absolutely no problem running it, it all depends on SE and Nokia. Maybe the guys over at DailyMobile will unofficially port it though, fingers crossed.
