my asianet package gives me download speeds upto 1 mbps, but u/l to 128 kbps
with 2.5 gb limit.

They have a 256 kbps pack for 599/- a month. There is a data cap of 500 mb. But night usage is free. Thats when i use it anyway:-)

Does Sify serve your Bldg.? For 900 INR its 256kbps (claimed) with no restriction on d/load.
But they share da same IP address with many custs. Good for hackers BAD for ethical people like us trying to get files off Rapidshare.
I may take Tata/VSNL. Steep installation charges of INR 1500 and a maximum claimed speed of 128kbps apart- its a Dedicated IP for under 900 INR.
Hathway not here for home and had bad experiences with Iqara.

@sail not T3, cable. Rated speed is 512 kbps, but lately it's been going over the top, d/ling 5 mb mp3's in seconds. But has got 2.5 gb limit with extra mb at 1.40.
