I dag säger Sony Ericsson att P990 kommer att släppas ”inom de närmaste veckorna”.
Förra veckan skulle Sony Ericsson ha börjat leverera P990, enligt tillverkarens egna uppgifter från början av juli. Men några leveranser har ännu inte nått återförsäljarna och nu meddelar Sony Ericsson att man skjutit fram tidpunkten ytterligare.
-Inom de närmaste veckorna, säger Mattias Holm på Sony Ericsson, som svar på Mobils fråga om när P990 ska börja säljas.
Han säger att det finns flera orsaker till den senaste förseningen. Han nämner att M600 ”ska leva lite till på egen hand” och att det är semestertider som två av orsakerna men säger till Mobil att han inte kan gå in på några andra konkreta detaljer när det gäller förseningen. Enligt Holm ska det dock inte vara några tekniska problem med produktionen av P990.

Basically says that the p990 will delayed again, and will start to be delivered in the upcoming weeks, as Sony Ericsson wants the M600 to "live a little longer on its own" and it is not a technical issue...... They did not want to give more info on the delays.

though it's sad to hear and read this
it's pretty understandable. it's would be a throw-a-way to launch both phones to quick after eachother. i'll be off for the next 4 weeks, so maybe I can still get one from the first batch by then.

These delays are getting so stupid. Is it really necessary to delay the P990 just so the M600 can be out there alone any longer? People that want the P990 are NOT going to buy the M600. They would have done so by now. There seem to be two pretty distinct groups of people -- those that like the M600 and those that want the additional features of the P990. If we didn't feel like we needed these extra features, would we really still be waiting for a device twice the thickness of the M600? Shoving the M600 down our throats won't make us want it. We know what is out there and we know what we want.
Bring on the P990!

don´t you think SE would tell them about a further delay??? in other times they changed the date quickly after new info from SE
