Folks
Do you know that the Nokia 6230i, the main competitor to the K750i has had Bluetooth & keypad issues that have caused BT (who bought 30,000 of the things) to return ALL of them? They brought LG phones instead.
And when was the last time you firmware upgraded a Nokia? (Nokia-lovers, ask an Ngage owner what they think of Nokia now...)
And Moto's transflash card driver in their phones - updated 18 times during 2005.
All manufacturers have phone problems. They all rush their products to market and cause "home users" real heartache because they spend their hard-earnt money on kit that doesn't do as advertised.

Hi, does anyone have a copy of the EU2 W800i R1NA05 firmware (unbranded or O2, downloaded from SEUS) that they could e-mail me? Both files please. It's for a fun bit of java experimentation i've been doing.

I bet Nokia would start considering furthewr if a few more 30k mobiles were returned....
Mybe the rush of release wouldnt make it feel like a premature ejaculation (am I aloud this je ne se quois?)
Seemingly SE or other companies surely know it would be a little premature to release a load b4 knowing it would take the market in a convincing and sure way...
I bet this would be a more fulfilling and rewarding customer satifaction war, than in the opposit hand to see which company can release the best piece of kit faster and in greater quatities that foocks up the least...
That would be true competition ... what this is there are no words for it... Oh capitalism the way of making money regardless of means... thats it.
Now the BS about the consumer driving the market... is nothing but BS... Bigger better ok... make it better and then work on bigger....
Leviathing.... Hell yes... I would hope for nothing less than a ....thing just the same from you...

Hello mates! I work in Cambodia and I yesterday while I was trying to update my K70i the process went kaput and so the instruction was for me to remove the battery and reinsert it as the phone won't start. I tried removing the battery cover but for 2 bloody hours I can't remove it!!! Anyways, I went to a cartified SE service center and have them remove it for me and then while I was about to leave, I saw this small sign "Software upgrade K750i to W800"!!! So I asked the service center manager and she told me that the upgrading is free as I still have a valid warranty. Now after the upgrading this is what I got:
RIK001
prgCXC1250174_CHINA_
CA R1K001
LCD SW versions
Main display
Current: 0
Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 4.4
ITP SW version
CXC 125 932 R1B
Customization
cxc1250093 R1K001
APAC_1
I noticed that there is no mention about the version of CDA. Can someone please enlighten me on this issue? One more thing, does the SE service center in other countries also provide a free firmware upgrade as long as your phone still got a valid warranty? I'm planning to go back to the SE service center and ask them if they have a EU firmware.

Okay.
Info from

admitting there's an issue with certain K750i's with write operations to a memory stick with data already on it after a firmware upgrade. They say - backup data first, apply update, format the stick in the phone, then hard-reset. This should clear the internal phone cache.
Please don't swear at me - I'm only the messenger!
New firmware for W800i should "tweak the volume settings to counteract low-tonal issues"... Don't ask me what that is. It should also get around the BT audio issues; not sure if this fixes headset / handsfree problems. Will test on a W800i tomorrow.
Where did you get it from cheese? :?
