Guys, I just realized that I have gone for a week (yes, 7 full days) without making or receiving a call- some sort of a personal record lol.

I guess I can live without a mobile... for a short while

14MP Android phone on the way, with optical zoom, Xenon flash, and it'll hit Western shores early next year, according to this article:

Nice one Dups, did you hear about the BMW car recall? something like 3000 Beemers including the Rolls-Royce Phantom that they build, due to some break booster problem.
Congrats on pic of the day with that fire pic Wanqs

Thanks Tsepz. I enjoy taking these pics with the P1i when starting the braai fire on most weekends, especially as it's pot luck as to how the flames are going to be captured.

@wanqs

That picure was interesting I must say.

Congratulations on it.

@Tsepz_GP

No I haven't heard or read about my favourite car manufacturer's problems.
To be honest though, I'm not that surprised that they also have recalls. Seems almost everyone has some sort of recalls recently.

My favourite supercar manufacturer (Porsche) suffered the same fate not long ago recalling the butt ugly Panamera for breaks problems.

Something tells me these recalls (from all the affected manufacturers) are 70 percent cost cutting related than mechanical.

By the way guys, I installed Opera 5.01 four days ago on my P1 after I was highly disappointed by version 5 and I must say this new version is a mighty huge improvement, it's almost as if it is a complete overhaul. No slowdowns, only occassional (very minor and negligible) lags here and there.

All I can say is it is truly brilliant now and I'm happy and satisfied.

Ya they seem to require quite a bit of patience and luck lol, i attempted a few with the K850 when i was in CPT last december and they were all a disaster lol, th X10 has made me want to expirament more with the camera, it takes some stunning macro shots, so far they are boring though lol, gona attempt to take more "lively" ones when im on holiday.
Dups
We share the same fav car and supercar manufacturers. That makes sense, they all trying to take shortcuts to cut costs and now its comeback to bite them. Im starting to warm up to the Panamera, there are so many of them around Jhb, pretty sure i spotted atleast 5 last week, seems to be quite an expected success for Porsche, what i REALY hate is their new Cayenne, it looks awful,looks like something built by Lexus at the back and yet it also seems to be popular spotted quitd a lot of them as well, think if i had the cash i'd pick the BMW X5-M over the new Cayenne Turbo and save myself the grief of walking into the garage everyday and realising i blew over 1mill on something that looks like it rolled off Toyota's production line.
Yep, Opera Mini5.01 is awesome, i just hate how it always this tendency to run of memory and make me reload a page, why cant it use the phones RAM instead of its own limited mem? Its a bit frustrating as ill load Engadget, RickyCadden's blog and maybe HowardForums, the phone will have well over 130mb RAM but Opera will run out of its own mem.

You cracked me up on the Cayenne. I agree, it is the ugliest SUV ever! I don't like the Panamera at all, if it wasn't for the Cayenne I'd rate it as the ugliest Porsche. The car I've warmed up to is the X6- I used to hate the back of this car! It made me think of the infamous Bangle butt. Now, however, I like the car.

I always tell my brother that if I was rich my garages would consist of the following cars: Porsche GT3 RS for
my supercar thrill, 2011 Range Rover (not the Sport/Supercharged) for special occassions, 2011 BMW M5 for irritating the owners of the AUDI A6 RS and Merc E 63 AMG, BMW X6 M just to be brash, Toyota Corrola 1.6 just for petrol saving or maybe that other electric/hybrid Toyota (forgot the name) and lastly the Nissan Navara Double Cab for those days when you need a solid workhorse.

I would add the Bugatti Veryon in there but that would be pushing it too far and proclaiming 'Look at me, I'm super rich!'. The Porsche GT3 RS says that in a nice and subdued manner.

I don't like Ferraris or Lambos, they are just too much in your face for me.

Ditto on Opera's RAM issues, I also hate when I have to reload a page.
