Has anyone found a way to rotate the screen on the P990i with TT6?
I am guessing that TT have removed the feature from TT6 as most PDA's support screen rotation within themselves.
I used to have my P910i with the screen on landscape. The P990i looks great with the blue buttons below it but I'd prefer a landscape screen.

Ok, you had the same prob as me. What you do is to only copy the contents of the folder to you mem card. NOT the whole folder.
Then when u install it will install perfect
Works very nicely

Hi einst
An easier way than what? you need to explain how you are doing it currently for anyone to know if there is an easier way or not.
The only way i am aware of being able to do it is by going to Change Preferences scroll to, manage Poi's, warn when near POI. There you have the options for what distance and sound you want for the warnings as far as i know that is the only way to change the alerts for speed cameras or any other Poi's hope that helps.

I want to change the std beeps, bells and whistles, for voices.
they are using a proprietory sound format, rather than the OGG files used for the direction voices.
apparently, you have to edit a data.chk file or something...
there are some you can download already made, but not found one for version 6.0.2.0

You do not need to do anything with data.chk file
All you need to do is put your ogg file in your map diriectory and name it the same as the poi you want.
For example if you have a poi called camera_30mph and the bmp and ov2 file are in the map dir, name the ogg file to camera_30mph and when you add the poi it will know the voice file and use that.
This works great om my Tomtom Go 300 and on my SE P990

J273, learn how to use your phone. Go to connections manager and chage from phone mode to usb and your memory stick will show up as a usb brive. transfer the files that way.
