Problem with the selfie is the size.

Trading isocell for exmor not gonna make it much different.

1/4" = 3.2mm x 2.4mm
1/3.6" (iphone selfie) = 4mm x 3mm
1/3.2" (s21 selfie) = 4.5mm x 3.37mm
1/3" (XZ selfie) = 4.8mm x 3.6mm

Does anyone know the last xperia that got so aggressively advertised as pro-i? Also , Sony is really determinated to gain some space in China. The hardest place to grab sales. Events in China for local media. First market to get the phones.
Xperia has over 4.5 million followers on weibo.

BONUS: 1iii official video has 3 mi views in 6 months, Pro-i has 3,1 mi in 1 week.

But the question is will people buy such an expensive phone? already phones are more expensive than laptops, some cameras etc.

Honestly I'm closer to buying it everyday. I loved the purple 1 III, this is the first year I would justify 1 over 5 but now that we have PRO-I in the mix I'm swinging slowly. I will not pre-order it, I will not buy it within first three months or so once it gets out but eventually I will get my hands on it brand new. The best of all I don't see 1 IV as any serious competition to it, like I said I already like 1 III and PRO-I is the properly upgraded version of it. The only downside I see to these phones are 888 and future 898 chips cause Samsung just doesn't have enough fabrication know-how.

I think problem is too much power these chips have. Some cores.
Samsung is the maker of all other SD series.
690 is very good chip.

I had chance to play with some random prototype equipped with next gen Snapdragon, I must say it still hot like hell
For me 865/870 SoC is the best in terms of heat.

I have question. When phone has screen replaced, is there anything done to software?

My 810 had three of the A57 disabled permanently, but now sometimes all 8 cores are active according to cpu Z.

Not related at all. The software only know what type of screen (phones usually have multiple type of screens ) and apply correct calibrations for it. Nothing else.
The cores automatically on and off is a power saving feature, control by the kernel base on loads and temperatures. 810 if I remembered right turn off the big core when it overheats. Test for yourself, put some icepack in the back and watch it

When I bought it, two A57 were always off.

No matter the activity.

Then another update put the 3rd A57 to sleep forever.

The phone was pentacore.

Nothing could ever wake them up. Until I got new screen.

Phone was much cooler two years ago, before screen had 👻 touch and died.
