@BJ the limit for camera recordings is apparently limited to 100 kb. This is chosen as this the maximum set by network operators for messenging. This is fixed with the latest software. R3K004. After this is installed it will allow recordings up to 30 or more.

Is it right that to get the free firmware upgrade on setool you use need two files, the main firmware file and a sfa of the desired upgrade.
Yet on setool support area i can only see the main files and the fs files for the s700, so this mean i would need to select 'complete phone' which would then deduct a credit(not free). So at the moment there is no free firmware upgrade for the s700??
sorry if it sounds like a really dumb question but id rather get things right than screw up my phone

Do you have to be logged in to see them, I dont have a username or password (yet)? I can see various sfa files for the k5, k7 and z1010 but none for the s7

Ahh, yes it is a newish section i believe. You need 1 credit for access to support area (usually people unlock aswell), but once you have access you can upgrade however many times you wish.

I have now successfully flashed my phone to S700i status.
I got the cable and two credits for $40AUS incl. freight from mobile reform a setool reseller.

...my partner got a s700 two weeks ago with R3F and now I just got one delivered yesterday with R3K ....fantastic, loads of difference in performance between the two. But why oh why is this tiny video size thing not been dealt with?
