I personally would install the normal drivers too. If you're getting an error that the cable was not found, I'd say that's the reason. Close the update service and connect the cable to the computer and see if it asks for drivers, then install them

@ wbutt2003
You can go to the global support site and update from there. That's only where the UK site will point anyway. I've just updated my Orange UK K750i.

Bluetooth k750i and HBH-662
Working so far...........
1. problem = headset not showing number & ringing = Solved (so far)
2. problem = headset lost connection with phone after xx:xx time = Still testing ??????

Yep. Agree with this and only time will tell if the sporadic disconnects are fixed.
The bad news however is that the Moto HS850 is still about as useful as a chocolate fireguard with the new firmware.

It does make a change tho that Orange / voda and other operators get there updates first ?
Could this mean that the operators demand more for there customers?
LOL. Operators demanding more for their customers.
Suspect its more likely to be the case that there had been an almightly mess up somewhere with the last firmware - the network operators were probably pushing SE to get it out only to stop the probably high numbers of handsets being returned as faulty, not because they want a better service for their customers - they only do things for themselves and their bottom lines these days.
Whats the betting that if this fixes most of the problems (lock-ups and restarts) then operators like Orange in particular will then start to block the update service like they did with the K700i.

Yep, that sounds right about the icons.
I hope Orange don't stop the use of the SEUS. They probably will as most things are too good to be true! That said, the SEUS was pulled apparently due to problems with the K700i, and it is back up and running for Orange handsets now, and has been for a while. So perhaps we won't be so unfortunate.
Anyway, must get some sleep now...
