yep i should have my tytn end of next week. if its stable then i will for sure not buy a se p990. but in any circumstance it will delay my p990 purchase until december atleast and then if a new P series is announced i will wait and not even get the P990

Does anyone here know if the production line has started yet ? I have 4buddies on IM but they work for nokia (hungary and finland) thats why I am fairly accurate with nokia releases. Unfortunately I don't know anyone working for Se. Obviously, when the production line has not started then no phones can be delivered. I thought Arez knew somethink first hand when he said -it will go on sale before the end of the month and probably before the end of this week- but it looks like he was doing what most people do. 'guessing'. For what is it worth Nokia market analyst, Don Slatter, don't expect to see this model on sale till Aug. and customer saturation by sept. Make what you want of it. Software stability is the main reason for the delays and not competing SE products. Greetings from South Africa. Mario :-)

What I think is the worst is that SE does not communicate anything. I mean there are a lot of people around that are willing to spend money for SE phones. To keep those pleased SE is always fast in throwing the hook at them by announcing new phones and keep them warm by their side. Maybe it's time for SE to read this fabulous forum and learn how upset their customers really are. I just wish that other manufacturers would make a phone with the specs of the P990.
However... due to a lack of alternatives (must be symbian for me!) all we can do is wait and hope that SE will finish their work sometime...

I think SE reads this forum, but really don’t care. Here are a couple of hundred enthusiasts, but the phone will sell in hundreds of thousands when it finally hit the market. Knowing all the software problems they had with the M600, they will wait until they have the software for this phone working before they let the P990 leave the factories. The P990 are of course produced already, and are know sitting on the shelves waiting for a final go after implementing the latest OS. The P990 OS is based on the same OS as the M600, and that phone have already had 3 firmware updates. The last one only a couple of days old. Before the latest firmware, they couldn’t even use it for IMAP.

http://www.katshing.se still has tomorow has release date...this never happened so far, they always changed dates well before reaching the old deadlines (they also had 2/8 and 18/7 some time ago)
Any of our swedish friends have more info about this???

Why don´t you contact them today (i presume you are swedish)...they have a phone number in the homepage
