Does the light go dimmer after 15 seconds when playing a video, like on k700i?

And on Orange UK k750i/w800i do we have to unlock and debrand to be able to use My Friends?

Cheers,boyi

No, it doesn't. Not on R1N anyway. I think this is also the case for previous firmwares, but I only have access to a R1N phone at the moment.

As for your orange question, I can;t tell you as I don;t have an orange branded phone. However, I am *guessing* that if the operator doesn't provide My Friends support then they will disable it.

Yes... get your fone exchanged if you bought it withinn 28days (uk) or repaired under warranty...

It is quite clear to me some phones experiencing this curruption were already faulty to begin with..... I have flashed 8 K750i to R1N and all the same pc, operator locked & branded same method and so on and two were displaying some unusual connection loss in between the phone and memory card....

After the update these two k750i's had currupt info on memory card unable to be read from memory card.... but the thing is the all k750i's were updated with memory card out of socket...

"BUG: Some phones experience MS Duo corruption after a firmware update. Symptoms include erratic behaviour of the Media Player and problems with the file system. This can be fixed by formatting the memory stick in the phone and then performing a Master Reset / Reset All. Note that this will erase all settings"

I think i've just started to get this bug. Yesterday a couple of my music videos wouldnt play, so i deleted them. Then, today, a couple of mp3 files will no longer play or just skip in the media player.

I find it strange how i've been using R1N035 now for a month or so, yet ive only experienced this bug in the past 48 hours.

Could anyone confirm i have this bug, or whether its something else.

I've got a problem.. sort of..

When it tells me to unplug my phone, turn it off, wait 20 secs, then hold C and plug it back in..

I hold C, plug it back in and the thing still stays at 0%..

And then hold C another 20seconds while plugging in.

For the other poster: Yes i also have a self-deleting-K750i now....

So my advise wait for another update higer than R1N035

I do, I hold it down for more than that and it still doesn't start. This is the first time I'm updating the firmware. I got my fone yesterday with R1L currently on it.

It doesn't prompt me about the new found hardware, after I plug it in whilst holding C. Is it supposed to?

@simply__me

Yes, Windows *have* to ask you for new hardware drivers the first time you plugin the device while holding down the C key. When you plug the device normally, it identifies as "K750i". When you plug it in while keeping the C pressed, it identifies as a different device, "USB Flash" and different drivers are needed for that.

Technically, this is totally irrelevant to the upgrade process (it's a Windows issue), but of course it's a necessary step before you can proceed with the upgrade, as the SEUS java app is waiting for a "USB Flash" device to flash.

I would suggest that you save yourself some time by not following the SEUS process (launching the browser and going through all its useless steps). Just restart your computer, and plug the phone keeping C pressed, until Windows decide to properly install it. Once this is achieved, you can follow the normal SEUS process and upgrade.

All of the above hold true only if you have never installed the "USB Flash" drivers in the past, ie Windows have never found a new "USB Flash" device and asked for drivers. If you have done this once, Windows already have the drivers in place and won't ask you again, so your problem lies rather with SEUS.

Hope this helped

Im waiting for the call from Orange,i still check the website twice a day tho,at least
