Eish.I have somehow cracked part of the P900's casing, where the top right corner of the keypad rests on the slate-coloured screen surround.
Must've somehow got tramped on & don't know how/when.(No,I wasn't sloshed!)Quite frustrating,as I'm relatively careful & look after the P900.I've always treated it to a Martin Fields screen overlay film and Krusell cover, not that this will help prevent damage caused by either Amawanqa's 80kg or Mrs.Amawanqa's more svelte 52kg of concentrated weight upon it or whatever caused the crack, more just how fastidious I try to be as regards looking after my prized communication device. The phone obviously still works fine, but it does look kinda worse for wear.
I know there is a shop in East Ham in London that has genuine P900 housings in stock;they charge £40 for them including fitting. They refuse to fit aftermarket ones, like you get on eBay etc. due to the generally very poor fit,so I am told.
Oh well,at least I will be able to get rid of the minor wear marks caused by frequent friction and use,and finally get rid of the Orange branding on the housing...

Yep, on the surface it seems pretty useless when considering that you're not getting an EDGE connection anytime soon although Vodacom have promised EDGE in the future.

This has been discussed here before and there's no use arguing- MTN consistently whips Voda and Cell C when it comes to the speed of it's GPRS network...when it comes to coverage Voda is tops.

Interesting trade-off. JoePublic's happy knowing he's covered when he visits Middle-Of-Nowhere, but then again, JoePublic hasn't the foggiest that his phone's more than just a calling-texting tool...

@Kryptik: I chose Vodacom coz at least I'd like to be reached when I'm in the remote parts of the Northern Cape on the border to Namibia...won't want to take a chance with MTN.
I'm pissed off at Vodacom for not providing a email service for it's PAYG subscribers.

So true, it's a bit of a schlepp having to login and check mail periodically since notification doesn't happen automatically. I use a gala.net addy for day-to-day mail because it's so easy to login, nice and uncomplicated, nearly as fast as sending txt.

I see Vodashop's offering the branded F500 for R1179, while the K700i comes at R135/month, and includes a branded F500. Not shabby...

F500 is garbage but on paper the deal looks good(2 for 1) especially for those who aren't too fussy about their cellphones.
