^you'll fall in love MusaD..
just make sure you have one of the better screens. but since you're buying from a store, you can easily take it back to compare and exchange.

@Moogoo
Of course I am!
I can't procrastinate it more.
I need a 4G phone, because of the 3G reception being so lousy here.

haha ok. if 3G is so lousy, what makes you think 4G will be better?
i will be taking many more pictures next week and as time goes on. don't you worry.. i'm still playing with all the settings to see how i can get the best results in any condition.

Hello everyone! I suppose I'm here because I need some convincing. I've been reading this thread for a while and I really want to buy an Xperia Z1, but I'm worried about all this talk of a screen lottery. I've read about yellow tinted screens, some with worse viewing angles, pinkish reds, low contrast, Sharp or Jdl panels,etc.. Since I'm in the US it's impossible to check it out at a store and I'm trying to determine if there is some sort of pattern, like some models or if a specific country have worse screens. It sure would be nice if someone has a comparison between the 'good' screen and the 'bad' screen'. It would really suck if I order internationally and I get one of the 'bad' screens. Is the risk worth it?
Anyway, if someone has some info on the above it would really be appreciated.

if you've been following this thread, you'll know that me and a few others are from the US and we imported from handtec or clove.
my screen pics are posted a bunch of pages back and can be seen on my flickr. flickr.com/photos/oogoom.
i would say i have a good screen. if you are truly worried, then just wait a bit and it should be out in the US sometime next month. the yellow tint issue isn't really an issue. it can be fixed with a software calibration, which could come in a future update or you can fix it with an app from the play store.
in the end, it's your money and it is a lot of money. so the risk is up to you. with it coming out in the states next month (most likely) you'll be able to see it before buying and can take it back if you have issues. but if it's like the Z, you'll need to get Tmobile branding to get an LTE version. but, you'll know more and can make an intelligent decision at that time.
