Hurrah, my K800 EROM has been updated with Kulan Kendi to R3A016. Now I am clear to upgrade to R1GB.
Now if someone can post the difference (if any) between updating from SEUS to third party like Kulan Kendi/wotan? What I really want to know:
1. Is that confirm that wotan does not have 2 sec delay on internet button and SEUS one has? I mean whether ppl who uses wotan find out that old firmware have 2s delay and after using wotan R1GB this is not the case anymore?
2. Is it correct that SEUS convert it to CID51 and Wotan doesn't?
3. Is the occasional font-menu-error (getting code like F:xxxx instead of proper menu heading) is corrected with R1GB?
Thanks all, especially to someone who PM me about Kulan Kendi

. I have bought 1 credit but still not received them yet and I still can upgrade EROM. Well, I don't mind really as wotan client still refuse to work in my computer and I will use the kulan kendi account to change language in my wife Z610.

Just to note.
Erom is only updateable at SE Service Centers and Wotanserver.
SEUS Will not update EROM.
SE are still working on this and hopefull will have a fullty functioning system some time this year.
I don't think this is the case of SE can't make it work in SEUS. I think they don't want ppl to update EROM by themselves. Not to mention some SE service centre don't really know (or denying to know) that EROM is upgradeable. The reason is I don't really know.

Excuse me,
I live in United States and i have the k790a. My k790a was a gift (a great one at that)...and i have not updated because I'm afraid of WSOD or corruption of the phone while updating. My f/w version is R1EG001. Should I be afraid of a corruption while updating? Should I update? Will i see a change for the best if I update?
Also, what is "Discharge Flash" in the Service menu. I accidently pressed that.
I am sorry if these question have been asked...
Your feedback will not be over looked...Thank You in advance!

Howdy. over on Howards, someone pointed out a bug that at least a couple of other people confirmed. Games and applications that you have on your memory stick from before the update will not work. Everything on the phone works fine, and replacing the game/application on the memory stick with a fresh copy of the same fixes the bug. But it's a bug none the less.
Howard thread about the issue.

Yes, I can confirm that ALL games and applications installed in Memory Stick Micro are 'erased' after updating via SEUS. They just show the icons but crossed, meaning they are unavailable. However, the info said that it existed. I had to re-install them again one by one yesterday. That should be paid attention to. You may have to back up your files beforehand.

R1GB001 findings:
-Now you have the animated desktop icon effect when you highlight or hover over each one. This animation is similar like what K750i has. Nice to see the animated highlighted icon on desktop again.
- 2 seconds delay is still present when accessing internet in this SEUS version.
- Some mp3 files like Alien Noise, Jangler and Pulse of SE fun&downloads originals are still impossible to play back.
That's strange. I don't have the 2 second delay on the internet button. When I press the button, I instantly get connected to my provider's homepage.
Even when I got the phone (R1ED001 / 06wk43), there was no 2 second delay.
This is definitely an APAC version. Already tried master reset -- still no delay.

From what I've read in various forums it would appear that the
SEUS update to R1GB001 changes your phone to CID51, but the
other provider updates (wotan etc) don't.
This could do with some clarification/confirmation ???
Mine was wotan'd to gb001 and stayed as CID49.
