Yes they are being announced in 2 days time.....
The announcement is on the 8th....
X10 is so important to SE in Japan, thats why they are definitely annoucing X11 & X12 at the japanese show in a few hours......
Dont' panic, the announcement has only started, it has a long way to go......
(sometime later, when everyone who was led down the merry path checks on *THE* announcement and finds there wasn't a single SE word), it turns out that all along it was just a "supposed leak".
Hmmm, the reason why they weren't announced could be......

Bringing us back in history here, SE announced the X10 for DoCoMo quite a while later after the international announcement; they'll be doing the same here.
I'm going to say it's going to be much harder for SE's next generation DoCoMo phone to repeat the SO-01B (X10)'s success. There's just so many many many other attractive (and Android) touch phones; it's obvious that competitors (particularly Sharp with it's dominance, usually the best seller every season) to respond to market demands and improve their phones.

Second phone with optical zoom within a few weeks. Looks like crap but in four month we have February - two years ago Satio was announced and there is still not successor in sight?!
So something better is cooking and served soon...

Guys, give Avmaxfan a break. Some of his details were wrong but others are correct. If an announcement of a major phone is to come, certain people who come on this site would be invited so they should know if anything is happening. I have been told that there should be an announcement around this sort of time. They want to reveal the WP7 device and more so now because the OS is selling well.
I'm not hearing much about the 'X12' for the minute. Its the X10 successor so it will be quite similar to it, some of the specs mentioned here are making it way too expensive. I imagine that the hardware is very similar to the X10 which isn't bad, only certain aspects will be improved i.e. multi touch screen and camera. It should have Android 2.3 or whatever they call it which is apparently coming around November 11th. Its not impossible that the announcement will be after that. The X10's life cycle isn't over just yet as
have given the 2.1 update in order to prolong its sales since its done well. That means you shouldn't expect the successor to be released in Q1. Regardless of what Bert says, the release of it will be Q2 or Q3.
The PSPhone is doing the X10 style early leak and long wait in order to generate interest strategy. Its expected late next year and that is likely to change because the PSP2 is coming around that time as well. The Xperia brand is being milked so its time to shift back to Entertainment Unlimited. Vivaz and Vivaz Pro replacements to come but maybe not on Symbian. I'm sure you would like a Vivaz Pro with Android then again, Symbian got a cash injection recently.
