8mp is the min acceptable size because that is basically 4k picture. Anything lower is terrible and need to upscale mirroring to a 4ktv. Honestly both phones felt like they are regression than progression. Beside newer SoC and real time hdr capture, everything looks lame as shit compare to xz premium. Just give me a xzp with updated camera and SoC.

As a Sony fan I'm really disappointed. I was going to get it despite the lack of headphone jack but....the 5 MP FF and the same F 2.0 lens on the back? It's f**ked up to be honest. Damn I really wanted to like this. God knows how long I should wait for the 4K phone.

It's not bad at all for something that does not compete with Samsung and Apple but nonetheless dissappointing.
This is the first time I felt like Sony would better off focus on their camera sensor business than the mobile because this is not going to bring them anywhere.

I FEEL somewhat vague, but this duo XZ2 / XZ2 Compact are seem going replicate the same path of X Performance and X Compact in 2016 but now more streamline product and running in with highest offering chipset and latest up-to-trend 18:9 display.
I hope I'm right on this and real deal will arrive in IFA with their boxy lovable design.

Once in while, I said they need going to rework of Xperia ZL. Take a closer look and it almost right.
But shouldn't take some element of design cue from failure business, it make me upset with their move.

Jo, the downscaling of the front cam was due to less bezels.. And as for the other things it's a decent phone.. Of course not the one we were waiting for but ok..
P. S why don't you ask someone reliable what happened to the pro? At least we would have some conclusion

Small bezel is not justified for putting such a smaller front camera. There are dozens of phones which have bigger front camera and still smaller bezel than this. Don't know what's the problem.

Heaviest and thickest flagship out there... heavier than note 8 even
Even after all this battery is only 3180 mah
If u guys think i am a sony hater u guys are wrong...
I am still waiting for sony to bring something good
I wont get s9 or iphone x
I havent lost faith in sony till now.
