So, I compared it to the icon on my XS and you're right. Even my XS ha a darker/deeper red than my Z1. So, i thought that was strange so i changed the backgrounds and stuff cause colors can shift due to its surroundings. Still the same. So then i looked in the app drawer and i noticed the youtube icon on Z1 is the same deep dark red as the chrome icon red on XS. weird. Is your youtube icon on your ZU darker than your chrome icon? if so, that would explain things.. but if they're the same.. it doesn't make much sense..

Hello bro my youtube icon is much darker red than in my chrome icon on my XU.
Does it mean the z1 panel here is ok? Cause im planning to get one but im not sure if the panel is the good one or not.

Chrome Icon: SX deeper, richer red than Z1
Youtube Icon: Same on both
Personally, I am VERY happy with my Z1 screen. So if you can make these same conclusions with your ZU, you should feel good about getting a Z1

Another thing bro, when i put the brightness to 100% in both xu and xz1, i noticed in xz1 that it is more bright coming from top and bottom of the screen unlike my ultra wherein the brightness is distributed equally. Is is the same as yours?

go into the albums app and look at a dark or colorful photo or change the wall paper to one of the darker themes. then do the same.
if you're still seeing quite a brightness distortion then it's a bad screen. i don't have uneven brightness.

Yes i know I can get a cheap chinese generic magnetic charger off ebay or some other site, but i don't trust them to fit correctly or charge correctly. At least, not until I've heard a lot of feedback/reviews from those on esato.
For now, I'd only want to get the official one, which isn't even available for sale yet! damn you Sony.. this is one of the many things that sucks about you.

if you purchased from Taiwan, DK31 was free and comes in the same box as Z1.

Z1 was placed 2nd
This is quite good , as we know Z1 is having 1/2.3 vs 1/1.5 of Lumia 1020,
But Z1 came close

^yeah. seems like the main complaint is post processing noise and resulting detail loss. but white balance and color reproduction seem to be great (which is true).
hopefully the new updates will fix all the post processing noise!
makes me wonder which firmware they had in their Z1..

Ok bro ill check it out. But having the same wallpaper in my Ultra, Z1 had uneven brightness.

Dpreview proved the real potential of Z1 sensor, which can be improved a bit more through update
Because its not easy to have such quality without hump and in such a slim body..
