It's not really justified. Atleast they could enable 240 FHD or 4K 60 FPS.

Just my speculation, but I think the XZ2 Premium was meant to be announced today but got pulled at the last minute. I mean look at all the evidence we've got...
1) Sony certified 3 devices recently. 1 device got pulled from the FCC
2) The Sony Mobile social media account announced 3 devices at MWC
3) The presenter at MWC slipped up and said XZ2 Premium. I'm guessing he practiced the speech with that phone in it, and messed up.
4) Sony showed off upcoming camera tech with a cryptic message of stay tuned for what's to come? They've never done that.
Now look, obviously they don't want a repeat of last year where the XZ Premium was announced and then released about 4 months later. They're announcing and releasing these phones within a month. If the XZ2 Premium was delayed, they would't want a repeat of last years fiasco where they announce it and we're waiting months and months for the device. If the theory is true, who knows why it was delayed. Could be a component problem. One person on Resetera speculated that Sony and Qualcomm might have wanted to make this the first 5G device, but couldn't get it going in time. Who knows. It was certainly interesting how the Qualcomm rep was playing up their love relationship with Sony.

In my place people see sony as synonym of apple ( apple of android world..)
Sony can't seem to pull it off perfectly i think
I have a doubt
How come these devices are very heavy
Can anyone give a possible explanation

So much hype for NOTHING!
The XZ2 itself looks generic. It could either be a model from 2017 or an unknown Chinese brand trying to make a splash and this is due to the lower bezel. If it were as "slim" as the upper bezel, it wouldn't look all that bad.

The device that was pulled off the FCC was a 5.7in device, it was later recertified but it is unknown if this is the xz2 or something else.
That tweet with the 3 devices was deleted of that Xperia account, so while maybe 3 models were initially planned, Sony was only going to announce 2, granted they did give a sneak peek at a new dual camera device so we kind of got 3 devices.
Maybe the slip up during the presentation was for real or it could have been an accident and just coincidence, we'll never know.
The delay of the xz premium could have been due the the exclusivity Samsung got with the 835 since no other 835 phone shipped until July 2017, no doubt if there was no exclusivity I imagine other phones would have shipped before July 17.
Maybe it is a 5g network move who knows. Does anyone know if 3g devices launched before 3g networks did? Or was it after the network were deployed?
Also is anyone able to screen cap the photo of the dual camera device from the video? I'd do it but I am on mobile now.

They are answering questions on twitter.
I asked about front cam downgrade..
Answer I got : front cam has f2.2, brighter than previous 5MP cam also wider.
You can translate it into = it is better than z3+/z5

Shitty front cam has nothing to do with "small Bezels".
Just take look at the recently announced Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. 18:9 Design with slim bezels. But still has a 20MP Sony FFC with f/2.0.
Like I said before: don't expect anything groundbreaking from Sony anymore regarding smartphones. Sony is just trying to stay in the mobile business to stay in touch with the market so it won't get forgotten by consumers.
All recourses are now concentrated on R&D for the next big thing after the Smartphone era.
