R2B is really fine. No problems since I upgraded. I'd advise you to stick with it unless you're having other problems like GPRS or BT.

I know, it's stable but it's rather slow when I use certain themes (when the pics are big in size) coz i realised that my fren's phone running on R2F has no slowing down probs with those themes
other than that I don't want to type for ' when it can be done automatically in the later sw.
anyway, any idea when the new one's going to come out?

Hi new here. I have a T68mc with the newest firmware ie. R5d007. i have some bugs that i have discovered and would like to share with you guys.
1. First you need to go to settings->songs&alert->ringsignals. Next try plugging in a headset and notice what happens. if you have any ringones that have chinese characters they might become "squares" sort of like IE when you use the different encoding.
2. Next try plugging out the headset and you will notice that the screen empties except for the ringtone selected.
3. if you do this in a game like naval defence the same thing happens.
I tried using both non-original and original headset, its the same.
Next i have a tip: If you have your headset plugged in, then go to write a new sms. Insert an item then sound effects, scroll up and down through the menu and you will notice that the sound through the headset is kinda different(like wav format). however sometimes it doesnt plays though.

Is the "wav" sound the same one as an incoming msg alert sound while you're on a call?

Yes. it the same one except that it plays through the headset. As i said the sound doesnt always play. Must be some kind of bug. Anyone else has had the same problems with the text display with me?

I went to the Ericsson Service Booth at Woodlands. I was planning to get my phone serviced before warranty expires.. Just want to know, when they mean 'service' the phone, what actually is done to the phone? Secondly, I am told that the latest software R5d is quite efficient. Hmm... I am not too sure abt that since I have been hearing a lot of complans regarding the software.
I am using R2e (that's what I am told by SE). I have a problem with it whereby the phone will suddenly auto-off (occasionally but not always). Also, the phone will call the first person in the phone book or the last even when I have keypad-locked it. This happens when I put my phone in my bag. Does anyone have this problem with this software?

Mark Ong - You need to buy a T6 screwdriver from your hardware store. I think the "Stanley" brand costs $3 to $4 only.
