my first post on esato using opera.

as far as i know the only reason holding java back is the security issue, symbian is much more secure, and looking at applications most ppl,( i know i do ) prefer web applications.

but opera mini is sure to open alot of possibilities for java.

maxit is a instant messaging application in java. personally i hate it. especially coz i cant have that running while doing something else

@Brix, that site is http://www.mxit.co.za/wap and yep, it's as Mario says, it's not really multi-tasking friendly. I had it for a while, it's not bad at all... @Sasha, tut tut, uncalled for statement you're making there, bud This message was posted from a Nokia

I agree, and that's where AgileMessenger really was of such great value. I'm sure that, in time, a Java messaging app of equivalent attraction will emerge... This message was posted from a Nokia

well that cant happen too soon. just signed up at www.funtrivia.com and spent a good hour or so. you should try it, its rather fun.

there is some rumour of voda data rates going down on some packages (down to 2c per meg, ridiculous that would mean R20 per gig) would be nice but highly un likely.

anyone heard bout it?

Just spoke to some pals at another site, the rumours are flying thick and fast there too... Where there's smoke, gentlemen, there's bound to be fire. If not a blaze, possibly only the flickering of a candle, but a fire nonetheless... This message was posted from a Nokia

Agreed. As a reference, when I had an Orange contract in the UK up until this April 05,it cost around £3 or £4 a meg.NOT the cheapest. This, coupled with the far superior O2 online PAYG sim call cost structuring, prompted my UK network switch.
