Haha they got the wrong image for the Pureness. It's actually cheaper than I expected though, despite it being very expensive!

Anybody else know what Christmas presents they're getting?

It's going ok. My girlfriend was looking at another place in Northcote but I took your advice and told her to avoid that area. We've seen a nice one in Castor Bay but it's somewhat to early to be looking right now. It's pretty stressful getting things sorted, I don't even know an exact date I'll be leaving yet!

Castor Bay is a nice area. The East Coast Bays is the best place on the shore to live. It'll be close to the bus routes and about 15 mins via car to Takapuna/Albany or 10 mins to the motorway.

BTW, on Saturday I went on a day trip to the Coromandel Peninsula. Here are some of the photos:

Main Street Coromandel Town

Hills above Coromandel, looking west across the town to the Hauraki Gulf.

Kuaotunu Beach Reserve

Opito Bay

Street decoration in Whangamata

Waihi Pumphouse - 5 stories high, 106yrs old, found it completely by accident - definitely the highlight of the trip.

Also:
Played mini golf and ate Snapper and Chips dinner in Whitianga.
Had a brief look around Tairua.
Enjoyed the Thames - Coromandel coast road.
Saw the giant L&P bottle in Paeroa.
Visited the art and craft shops in Coromandel town.

Had an awesome day, planning a longer trip soon!

We've seen a place in Hillcrest that we think is ok. Is Hillcrest nice? The Castor Bay one we think might be too far away from anything.
