I have noticed that old phones like the K750 / W800 debranding on wotan server still allows you to update using SEUS

I have noticed tho using Wotan Server, When connecting the K800i to SEUS all it says is that i have the latest software even when there is a new version out there.

So all i can judge from that is that no you no longer can update.

If any one is out there who can say different then please let me know.

I use the CDA/2, which is the Generic Uk

** i have since been able to update my phone using the SEUS. The Update also update my CID to 51.

Really happy

Could you guys help me with updating UK firmware versions in the first post. Currently it states:

K800
Unbranded UK (CDA102511/2) - R1CB001
O2 UK (CDA102511/41) - R1ED001
Vodafone UK (CDA102511/15) - R1ED001
Orange UK (CDA102511/47) - R1CB001
3 UK (CDA102511/69) - R1CD001
T-Mobile (CDA102511/12) - R1CF001

If users with these branded phones could let me know what firmware version they can currently update to I would be most grateful.

I have just updated a mates O2 K800i via SEUS and it is still:
O2 UK (CDA102511/41) - R1ED001

I also updated my own K800i which was flashed via wotan to R1EG001 (from O2) so now unbranded.
It has now gone up to the new firmware via SEUS:
Unbranded UK (CDA102511/2) - R1GB001

The most obvious thing it has fixed (strangely) it the excessive backlight bleed I had. Any theme that had a black background had grey strips on the left & right hand sides. It now has reduced and is the same as my friends.
Very happy.

Yes, my EROM is still R3A011. I don't know which CID I have as I'm not good enough at technical stuff. I'll try download the client later to know which one. So far, I haven't got any problem with my phone albeit it holds 'older' EROM version. I always rely on SEUS and never get in touch with Wotan, SEtool, KulanKendi, TMS or Davinci. I do respect their brilliant mind, yet for me SEUS is the most reliable.
BTW, what I mean as animated icon is that now the highlighted icon pops in and out just like K750 has. It doesn't do that in the previous f/w, does it? It used to be a still, non-animated desktop icon. Or am I wrong?
In general this R1GB001 is the best f/w so far. What happens to the disfunction of games and Java apps after SEUS update process is rather the updater bug than the phone bug. As they are reinstalled, no more problems to face.
Other finding:
I don't encounter the 'Rxx:xxxx' or 'F:xxx' menu title bug anymore. As it is very rarely present, I just don't know whether this fixing is true or I just don't come across the bug yet. Anyone can confirm?

And yes, the 2 secs delay of internet key is true with me. I have no idea why SEUS has different 'execution'. It may deal with local customisation, perhaps?
And yes, my local SE shop technician do not know what EROM or anything else. They just say: I'll re-flash yours. And it has to be done in the capital city within 2 weeks. Too long. And it'll be R1BC001 still. As what I read here, the procedure to upgrade EROM is done only in UK..if our fellow darrengf hadn't exposed us to such an info, we wouldn't have been so curious and anxious about upgrading the EROM. So, maybe it's another 'area-based decision'.

Next, SEUS ver. 2.6.12.10 that I used to update my K800i had some mistaken parameter. The firmware file downloaded didn't even reach 30%--it just jumped to updating phone stage. It also said 50% updating, then directly completed to 100%. The parameter is wrong. Yet, it just successfully did the job, no need to worry.
