@WhyBe let it be buddy I get the feeling you try your best to turn into 'Plankgatan' for X1...

@mario2004, what are you, some sort of chihuahua following Dogmann around ?

All of the X1 hate on this thread isn't going to stop anticipation for this device.

Neither the X1 nor any comparable device is on the U.S. market yet. So what's with the bitching about the X1 not being released yet.....none of them are.

Kudo's to e90.

Well,with people like you around, the anticipation goes ballistic just as with the k850i And if the device eventually comes out and does not live up to expectation it goes ballistic the other way. Neighter you nor Plankgatan are doing a favour to SE (or anyone als for that matter). And lastly - the amount of credibility you get in here is INVERS proportional to the amount of nonsens you post ! And no, you are wrong once again, is not Dogman I am following

@McLarenf1 - Give us the shop's name buddy and in which town/country?Otherwise some people may doubt what you are saying. Why did they not allow you to take pics? Are 'they' allowing you to disclose the shops name and address?

It's not THAT serious...get a life.
This is an entertaining social gathering...nothing more.

Is this a paying gig? Why should I care so much about something I have no financial or personal stake in? Credibility/nonsense is YOUR perception. You are not the final authority on what everyone else thinks, but yet, you seem to believe so.

With all due respect, your disgust with SE (as justified as it may be) has turned you and Dogmann into whining grouches . I am not an SE promoter. I am simply enthusiastic about what I feel will be the best device for the moment. You must acknowledge that I am not alone in this sentiment. If and when something seriously better comes along, I'll be all over it (regardless of the company).

@McLarenF1

I see what you're saying. I'm guessing that these other phones are close to a 16:9 ratio where as the X1's screen might be a little wider compared to that (landscape mode I mean).

Maybe somebody should take a pic of the phone with a credit card over it or something to get a good general idea of the screen size.

@701

Comments like yours are totally worthless a bit like you really. Get a life or failing that some intelligence and manners would do.

800 x 480 px is exactly 15:9 screen ratio

800/480 = 15/9 = 1.6666(6)

Maybe stupid thought but.....
If the short sides are narrower than 16:9 shouldn't it be more like 17:9....

I have an impression that the pixels commonly used in the LCD screen are not even in width and height. What I mean is that they might be a little elongated, which could easily explain the resolution not matching the aspect ratio.

And sorry my bad english when it comes to professional vocabulary. not native. Hope you kinda got the point there.

Regards,
Henry

ps. this discussion made me join the esato forums, so people, don't quit just yet there are still people seeing light in the end of this dark overlong SE-tunnel. :/
