I've allready updated my k750 to the latest. Like a lot of people out there it f**ked up half way and i can't use my camera now. I must have tried updated 10 times now. It's funny, it says update should take 20 minutes. More like a week so far!
I just need those files so i can get some firmware that'll install on my phone.

i think somebody here was able to fix it by deleting the files in C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\software-data and then running the update again. Hope it works for you.

I didn't try it since the camera on my phone is still working. I will be waiting for the next firmware that should fix the file transfer bug and the hissing sound on media player.

I think the files do transfer correctly but it is when you un-dock the phone that a spurious write occurs to mem stick. Since the last write to the mem stick was the last file written I think this is why the last file(s) are deleted. Notably when some photos became unaccessable on my phone, the file still existed with the correct size but had zero content. You can confirm this by doing writing a file to mem stick then try stopping the usb device.

But im not entierly sure that SE is fully aware about the issue with the mp3 player and thus just put their effort into the other issues such as file transfer and camera...but thats just me being a little pessimist! Hehe.
Anyway i got impatient and angry and turned my phone in for "repair" instead. Im sure that there will be a firmware someday that will fix everything.
One other thing: i think (but i only took a few pictures) that the camera produced pictures with lesser quality after the first upgrade R---035. But i might be wrong. Anyone noticed this?

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but i cant update the formware of my phone through SEUS It bring up a window telling me to disconnect phone from USB cable then shut it down and wait 20 seconds, so i do, then it tells me to hold the "c" key down then connect the phone to the USB cable well holding the "c" key, it then says wait 15 seconds and i do and i wait longer as it says to wait till the status bar keeps moving so i keep waiting and waiting and have a guess what? the status bar still doesnt move.
I will e-mail Sony Erricson if you fellas dont know, but i thought you lot maybe able to offer more assistance!

But the two latest firmwares sucks bigtime so i personally wouldn´t recommend them. And the old/first firmware is not avilable on SE:site.
Or take your phone to a SE service centre and tell them that you want them to flash your phone with the old/first firmware.
I should ad that most people say that you can re-flash your phone with older firmware, so lets hope that that is true!

Well, SE Development Manager says one can re-flash the phone to the previous FW, however this will also flash all your data. you'll lose all your contacts, files, everything you have inserted on your phone will be deleted. Of course i did not accept this and am still waiting for a solution. The funny part, thou, is that i told him that if SE had a software for backup purposes, i would flash my phone. But SE does not have this software, so i couldnt. Fact is that this guy, Development Manager for SonyEricsson Americas, did not know that SE does not provide a backup software! oh my god, wtf is SE doing??? i miss my Nokia...
