Infy is really doomed. They hired a guy not capable of distinguishing a human from a dog.

Hi, I apologise if my questions were already answered in this thread, but please, don't make me read it all. It's 1788 pages long

My friend's using Aircel prepaid on a Nokia gsm phone (GSM 900/1800) in Shillong / Meghalaya. The problem is he cannot either send or receive international smses. So he's thinking about switching to Reliance prepaid. Does Reliance offer GSM or just CDMA? Would he be able to buy only sim prepaid card or is buying a phone with it neccesary? What would the initial costs be? I've browsed the homepages of both operators but this is still unclear to me.

one more thing.
When looking at tariffs I've noticed only prices for calls and smses, but I'm also interested in rates for GPRS. Does either of the two offer GPRS and can it be used with prepaid sim card? What are the costs?

Thank you!

Reliance- except for a small central Indian state ONLY OFFERS cdma 'cellphone Services' . . >
Its only in rarest of rare case that they'd allow ones own CDMA handset to be used ! >
In India Network Sold/ Locked phones are as rare as Multi Orgasmic Men.. > Most handsets start from as low as 80 USD for GSM Sets, while WLL/CDMA combo (handset + Calling Credit) plans can have as low as 15USD monthly commitment. GSM plans too have similar fixed monthly exp. GPRS is close to free or less than US 25cents/MB.

Not me.. On my way to Bandra, to meet close Family Friends and perhaps watch 'Anything But Love' a play by Bharat Dabholkar. _
FOLKS CAN YOU HELP ME OUT? Of a devastating loss I suffered 15 mins back. I had taken out the phone (s700) from pocket- saw the MSD jutting out (rubber prot.ctr lost long back)- Cam app saying Mem not formatd- lost ALL Bookmarks and data since last back up
