Oh well just a thought. Thinking i could have done it when on dc with some of the hubs damn 1 gig share limits. How cheap can u get an external hard drive for? Ed, just get a whole new PC. If you're going to spend £50 on a hard drive alone, you could spend £300-£400 on a new PC that will upgrade what you've got immensely. It won't be fancy, but it will be a huge step up. Just my two pence, anyway

Thread's been quiet today... I take it Chris will be working hard tonight!

In answer to my own question - no you can't use the CDR as a shared folder.. Thinking about it it would never work as what if 5 people wanted to downlaod of the CD drive at the same time??
