first bar is for the bass.. its obvious as you tweak the notch up or down... youll hear it actually... try to fill the notches of the first bar just 2 notch shy from the top. next bar just a notch shy of the first bar, third bar 1 bar less than the second bar, 4th bar is same as the second... and last bar is same as the first bar....

i will be guessing that the first bar is for BASS, and the last bar is for trebel.

hope this helps yah

i did try to change my media player with the no hiss APF files. it was great.
but then when i added some new MP3 files, it wont play in media player. it will display an error message "Playback Failed!"

i reverted back to the old files...

Simply fabulous work on increasing the volume and eliminating the hiss sound! All credit to aksd, mongoose and others.

It would be great if you guys could find a way to increase the voice volume on the handset. The W800's volume is lower even than the K700. It would be a great help if you guys could break through this.

I've never had this happen and i have changed my MP3's several times and been using modded drivers for a few weeks now. I have seen the message before but only when I had the phone connected to usb cable. This is because the phone can't see the MS when connected to the computer. Could this be the case for you as well? Maybe you didn't disconnect cleanly. What happens if you copy my loud v2 back?

Sureshmilton: I'm quite happy with the earphone volume on phone calls. It's much better than it was in R1L.

2uk3y: I have my eq settings pretty much the same as Rockygali.

AKSD has taken a more radical approach in the changes he made. Mine are more subtle and in line with settings I have seen in the other SE drivers. I think the results are the same though. AKSD may have a better idea of what he's doing though as his driver has a completely different structure at the beginning to any other driver. To be honest, I'm a bit biased towards my own driver. But, you be the judge of which one you prefer. It wont take you much time to test. But, if you’re comfortable with FAR and have found the hissing annoying I encourage you to try either my driver or AKSD’s. It’s worth while - I can assure you 100% that I will not be going back to the original driver.

@mongoose

Its not the earphone volume. Its the call volume (what you hear from the handset when people talk to you without the handsfree) on the phone itself that I hope to increase.

Is there a way to do this? Any help would be appreciated, guys. Thanks in advance.

with a W800? i guess its firmware related.. i dunno if mongoose can find a way on the acoustic folder.

with K750.. firmware updates have answered that question. up to now... with version R1CA, earpiece volume is average. (that is... without handsfree)

@rockgali
Yes, its a W800 with R1CA firmware. I normally find myself pressing the phone to my ears when I'm outdoors straining to hear what the other guy is saying. This led me to the verge of selling my W800 but now I think "no way" now that I have found all these cool features that I can use on my phone.

Let me hope the earpiece volume can be increased

I'm guessing it could be handset_call.apf. I might give it a go. I'm a little busy over the next couple of nights though. AKSD might want to have a shot.
