I'm quite pleased with the announcement of the G-series mainly because SE has picked up from where they left off 3 years ago and become a trendsetter again, not so much because of the 'grounbreaking' specs which is obviously Nokia's game but rather by introducing full on touchscreen on mid-range devices which has had no precedence. Now for once touchscreen will be affordable and it will get other manufacturers thinking "Why Not?" No matter what Dogmann or anyone says about touchscreen not being a necessity, it is without a doubt stylish, elegant and would appeal to the masses, a great way to go about with marketing while not going head-on with Nokia in the specifications race. On the flip side however, no HSDPA is unacceptable, and it should be available at this day and age even in mid-range phones let alone a smartphone.

I have to admit that when I saw thses handsets my first reaction was "buttugly"... my second reaction was "lol buttugly"... and my third reaction was "what a pile of crap, candybar with stylus and touchscreen???"...

Now, a few days later the G900 has really grown on me and I can see my self buying one...

lol

On the contrary, it was love at first sight for me, the design is the perfect embodiment of SE, simple, organized and sleek. I'm pretty sure it takes after the design of K700 only better, especially without the horrible transluscent keypad. Look at the design carefuly and you'll see the K700 formfactor. Love it

P/s: And for those loves the design of Nokia 6300 (that's me actually), this would be a nice upgrade

Wow, i'm actually quite surprised SE released the G series at all. Ever since I replaced my trusty M600 with the K550, I missed the qwerty keyboard a lot for a while. But ever since I learned to use the T9, the M600 will be just missed... Sometimes.

Now with the G series, I have no qualm whatsoever (being it as a smartphone without qwerty keyboard), and I really can see buying it in the near future. I was hoping the G7 to have autofocus and Wi-Fi, but the G9 will do fine.

One thing that I still miss from the M600 is the "today" screen, now if the G has it, it's all said and done, I'm totally buying it.

Given the so-called Touch Organizers named upon those two new phones. which makes sense when interrelated with Business use. and the mere fact that those uses UIQ. i have a strong feeling that they both have today screens bud

@Bambino:

actually Nokia had been infesting this country all over the years since 2G phones had sparked the revolution of mobile phone era here. and still normal(i mean non-techy-oriented) people here only know one manufacturer and thats NOKIA! screw them! lol! but i and the other enlightened users have realized how fascinating experience is to have SE here(esp. since SE phone user base are still uncomparable to Nokia user base here although their numbers are rising in constant!). anyway our fellow member crossmatched also lives here and he also loves SE like i do hehe!
