Depends:
If your phone is branded it could well be the latest B38.
If its unbranded then Western Europe B42 is latest.
If you go over to thwe Hong Kong CDA, then D32 is latest

The new firmware R1DA032, does have conversation chat thing.
Under inbox, it has a new tab at the top, looks like a white document with black lines.
If you switch over to it, and click on the persons name from the text, it comes up like speech bubbles.
Plus under message, where sent messages and that lot are, inbox is also shown there!
So Nothing is missing from this firmware? Wayfinder shows 7, but is actually 8.
Smile shutetr is nothing to get excited about tbh,
Tempted to flash back over to W-Europe R1BA042...
Not in 1208-0527 R1DA032 it doesn't. It looks like we got everything except for conversations/threaded sms/whatever it's called.

I have the western europe firmware which is R1BA042 which is debranded my self using the SEMC updater tool, & A2uploader.
I'm hvaing trouble updating my firmware to the new one, (if available), its just that it says mid feb and its already the end 25th feb, now. My phone keeps aaying , i have the latest software, but i dont have the additional features,
am lookin forward for the chat message window the most, not really interested in any of the others really.
thanks all.

New stuff (my views).
Smile shutter is cool but I'm not sure if I will use it or not.
Wayfinder still says 7 but I never used the thing anyway. It looks different to the old one though. Maybe it is as SuperLeeds said and is actually v8.
Conversation view SMS is going to be useful to me, but the font size is so big that it's difficult to see longer messages. Whatever, it'll still save endlessly going in and out of folders to view old messages from the same person.
YouTube still doesn't work even though the app is inbuilt.
I find the
snapfish thing useful as I already had an account with them and I use them anyway.
I doubt my eyes will be able to spot any changes in the quality of the photos although I have no doubt that

have tweaked the drivers a little. Same for the video quality. Nothing immediately obvious to me.
All in all it's worth it for me. My phone was beginning to crash more often so I was thinking of reflashing anyway and the media player seems faster and more responsive which is good. And (being British born Chinese with a Beijing girlfriend) flashing my phone to Chinese is actually a good thing for me.

I used A2uploader to get to the Hong Kong CDA 1212-7297 as outlined at somepoint ealier in this thread (I'm not going to find it again today I can't be bothered, but it's there). It is R1DA032 that I have and yes it does have all of the features I mentioned in my previous post.
