@pt020 how about your Z3 compact touchscreen, is it still working fine?
I'm have mine right off the batch Oct 2014 and touchscreen is dead two times already
first one saved by claim it under warranty, but the second dying after sometime of six months
early this week it top and bottom where you control notification and navigation is gone, such a pain in my a$$
not sure which way to go between X Perform in grey import device and XZ with telco contract
sometime after new years, can't even hold till 2017 mobile congress
I do not have any problems with my Z3 Compact ... Got it 1st October 2014...it works as on the first day, never had any problem with the touchscreen, and I'm Sure I will keep on using it because I'm not a fan of big phones... I got the XZ because I was angry what they did to the Compact series... when I will have the XZ I will make few pictures of the Z3C ... it really looks/works as new.
But now we are waiting ...
@ XperiaJunkie
Have fun with your new phone!!

great video comparison testing out the stabilization.
this is obviously in 1080p only. and the video only features 3-axis stabilization despite what the guy says. 5 axis only applies when in macro video mode (which I'm not entirely clear about since there's no optical zoom?). anyway.. xz wins hands down. galaxy has more color saturation but the colors are inaccurate, which is easy to say based on the guy's black shirt. xz is more realistic colors and is rock steady even when he jogs.

Quick test of how the XZ performs with strong back light with HDR activated in scene selection mode.

i think colors are great but detail is definitely fuzzy. then again i don't usually pixel peep so i don't know what other phones produce for photos such as these...

That is a very fuzzy image and it is actually worse than the first picture he posted. Hopefully it will get better with a software update.

i thought the first picture with the flower and the bee was pretty solid. the focal distance was on the stem of the flower so everything else was blurred out with bokeh. this HDR picture is just a fuzzy cezanne painting.
as you said, hopefully that will improve with updates. maybe since they know they are pushing nougat out this month they decided to hold their major software updates for that?

pictures are made into the light (sun) what did you expect...
the light must fall on the object and not on the lens.
