@jnmigr
the file you've downloaded is a .zip file. So you have to unzip it first before you can install the game.
There is a free zip program for the pxXX but i'm not sure what it's called. jzip or something. Otherwise you can also try symb zip but this one is not free.
hope this helps!
cheers.

The link still works for me. You have to click on it though, copying and pasting wont work as the URL is truncated to make it more readable. If you drop me an email I'll send you the SIS file over the weekend.
If you download the game straight to your phone then (i think) you will be sent a .SIS file. If you run that file on the phone it will install the game for you. Or, from the application list tap Applications then Install and select it from the list.
I've only ever installed apps from my PC or by bluetoothing them over but that should work for you.
Cheers,
Tom

I did go to
http://www.btinternet.com/~mcfloss/SoldierAnts/Download/ and browse your directory.
Then I found the file and clicked on it;) Works now!

Ah, yeah. The easiest thing to do is open the .zip file on your PC and copy the .sis file to your phone and install it.

I just tried the beta version (but no the bluetooth

) and i've seen some lags by playing against the phone. Also when you click the INFO button in the options it says version 1.5

Has anyone tried the bluetooth? I'm hoping the lack of response on this means it is all working smoothly.
By lags do you mean slight frame dropping whilst the AI decides what move to make? If you are experiencing any long pauses then let me know what situation it happens in and I'll fix it.
I always forget to update the version number in the info screen... that can be my new years resolution!

The lag thing was because i had no ram free and i just realised that (is working perfectly now), but take a look at this:
There isnt nothing holding that part of the floor where the ant is standing, shouldnt that piece fall to a firm structure instead of be "flying" in the air?
Sorry for my bad english.

Overhangs make the maps far more interesting so it is better to let the landscape float.
If everything sank to the bottom of the screen you would have trouble finding shelter from your opponents weapons. Also it would be far too easy to find good targets for cluster bombs.
