yh mate i was told i cant do that as well, bcoz 3 uses a umts network and my jam is compatible with gsm only, and plus the jam is umlocked to all networks.

my friend got an asus p505 .... & he put his USIM ( 3G simcard ... )
in side it & it worked just like a normal GSM phone i think the THREE network s*ck big time ....

mmm thats wierd, for it too work, i have checked the pda ur refering too, and it says gsm network only, maybe ur friend is using voda 3g? maybe they do suck but there tarrifs are soo cheap, reminds me when one2one when they 1st came out, there tarrifs was soo cheap as well when they were offering free unlimited calls offpeak, i guess they want customers badly, and people were still blasting them for being rubbish
maybe your right, i dunno i am going to use it for one week b4 i make a decision to transfer my t-mob number over to 3 network. but i have to say though the reception on 3 is just amazing, i am always getting full bars where ever i go espeacially in the kitchen where usually my t-mob gets cut off or get a bad reception. is everyone experiencing the same good reception as i am on 3? is this the result of umts network? i think its called umts network right?

Vodafone connection prices have dropped and theres rumors of a big SE phone delivery around this week (confirmed by expansys) , also theres something else about O2 recieving them this week togethor with the SE shop having them in stock before the end of the month (confirmed by SE). The next 7 days shall tell all IMO but theres too many things happening just to ignore.

I am getting really confused here (and ever so slightly pi**ed off). I phoned SE earlier this week and they told me that the Z800i will not be released in the UK at all, and now I've just read that people are buying them at 3 and that O2 will be receiving them this week.
Does anyone really know what the hell is going on with this phone. I am on the verge of getting a V800, and flashing it and all sorts. Even the N70 is looking like worth the wait.

Have you had any problems with your memory stick? My default ringer is an mp3 on my memory stick, and almost all of my contacts have mp3 ringers too but every now and then the phone rings with the standard sony ericsson ringer. Also, when i go into media player sometimes my files are not there. If i just exit out and go back everything is fine, just wondering if you have had any similar probs.
Another strange thing happened while I was shopping this past weekend, I was talking to a friend and recieved another call. In addition to the call waiting tone, my phone starts vibrating during the active call. So I replaced the active call and it still vibrated. Ended the call and the thing was still vibrating, it eventually quit but was weird.

ofiaich you are wrong about O2 getting them in august, thats just stuipid. I heard this month, the guy at the link was absolutley sure they are getting them BEFORE the end of the month. If vodafone wont have them then everyone else will trust me...
Z800 will not be available on three as that d**k head MILES on the 3g forum said I quote "well lads we are going to be selling the K600 instead". I swore at him and said f**k off to three and screw everyone at three, gave him half a dozen thumbs down on his posts before he banned me. Sorry but three and that guy MILES just crossed the line with me, they will not be getting any customers from anyone I know and will be recommending against them to all my friends. So MILES that little stunt you pulled lost you too many customers. Why those idiots are not offering it in the UK is beyond me, but they offer it in every country in europe.
Three was at the top of my list of operators now there not even on it...boo hoo !
