does anyone know: is the usb cable supposed to charge the battery EVERY time i connect it?
if so, is there a way i can disable it?
each time i want to download / upload something to / from the phone, it begins charging, so i'm worried for the battery

I don't know if anyone has had this happen, but so far it has happened to me twice.
While taking pictures the screen will go white completely, closing the shutter and reopening it doesn't help, the phone sort of soft reboots, with the startup screen showing (which I can't seem to turn off), but never asks for my PIN like it would if the phone was turned off and back on.

Hi, newbie here. I have had my K750i for a week now. I haven't experienced any of the issues mentioned on this topic (at least not that I've noticed

). The phone has never crashed/locked up and it has been on permanently since I got it. I'm not a big user of all the phones features (pretty much just wanted nice phone with good camera and MP3), so there may be issues I haven't come across. It is an O2 branded handset. Now, there is one fault I have and the guy in the local O2 shop said it was a faulty screen and I needed to get the phone replaced (but I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him!), but I am worried about getting a worse handset than the one I currently have..... So, the problem is that in text messages or in the "Phone Status", every single "1" character is displaced downwards by half a line space. Has anyone seen or heard of this before?? Sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but I couldn't find it doing a search (ever tried a search for the character 1 !!!!). Could this be fixed with the new software download available? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

ahjiu,
Thanks for reply. However, I thought about what I'd typed and decided maybe the tried and tested method of a reset should be undertaken. Switched phone off, removed and replaced battery, switched on ........hey presto all the 1's now line up perfectly!! Interesting software fault, but hopefully it is sorted out now.
So, my phone seems ok; do I do the online upgrade anyway? Do I send the phone back to O2 and possibly get a worse one in return (creaky, etc)?? I think i'll probably stick with it.........

I've noticed a new bug with the new firmware.
When searching for Bluetooth devices, if the phone finds 6 devices the small line that underlines the final device does not disappear. It sort of strikes through the 6th device name unless you highlight it.
Not a huge bug, its simply a case of cosmetics.

As I understand it yes, it will charge everytime you plug the USB cable in.
No, theres no way I've heard of to disable this.
No, it shouldn't harm your battery at all, they're designed to be on and off a charger alot.

Double posts? Oh well then you get double answers i guess
As I mentioned in the other thread where you posted the exact same post - What's to dislike or be worried about with this feature?
You can't turn this feature off (and why would you) and of course its quite harmless to the battery. Otherwise it would be the biggest designflaw since Nokia decided to realese their top models with a MONO MP3-player.
Your phone is equipped with a Lithium-battery - a Lithium-Polymer battery to be exact, so forget all the the rules about only charging when the battery is completely empty etc. These rules have never applied to a SE-phone because they have always been equipped with Lithium-batterys.
