Hmm strange you guys dont have the instant viewer thing... Could be a 3 branding thing i guess. But im sure it wasn't there before... And besides, i can switch it off and on, but nothing happens...

I've tried updating via SEUS to R1GB001 from R1ED001 (Wotan).
The update never actually completes, and stops at 95% then drops back to the Start Update page.
I now have a K800 which shows Software Info as
R1GB001

Only real problem I'm now experiencing is the screen display takes about 15 seconds to light up once you press a key

I've tried updating again but can never get the update to get to 100%. What should I see when the update has completed?
Tried another update this morning after uninstalling and reinstalling SEUS. Update this time worked fine and Customization now says R1GB001 and no problems with the screen display light

Ah that make sense. I always wonder why it bahaves like when you do a text search in phone book (when press 1 it shows choice of a,b,c,1). So it try to do text search.
I think they have to make the same interface and choose just one between text search or potition search in menu level. That will not confuse everyone when browsing the UI.
Or does it have to do to the fact that file manager menu has more than 9 items listed inside (so the potition search can't cover all of them)?

I guess if we complain to SE they will take note of all bugs. So lets send email to their tech support.
About high quality video I think lower the quality is better as it take less media on M2 card. After all you won't see much difference in k800i's small screen. If you want to show it on TV then it may be a problem (but can the bluetooth multimedia viewer handle the bitrate?).
I will not update to R1GB yet then! With my new R3A016 EROM and R1ED, the text error is lessen anyway on par with my wife Z610 (just saw it happen once in Z610 after 3 months).

Hello Aremaboy, I'm new member here, though i have knew esato for 4 years.
I just wonder, i tried to update my k800 firmware through SEUS (by menu update service in the phone setting mode) but they say I have the latest software already. FYI I have R1ED001 right now which I got it 2 months ago via SEUS. Why can't I have the newer version like u did???
BTW would u mind giving me ur number where i can reach u?, i think it's the easiest way for us to comunicate since we r in the same country.

mine is fresh from the box with R1ED. then upgrade to R1GB. obvious improvement is the speed using the joystick on menu. mine also when updating the percentage is jumping 50% to 100%
