Eish majita, that's how it goes, Brix... My school is 1 of the poorest in P.E., yet i see more and more kids sporting phones... And not just the run-of-the-mill 3310 (a.k.a Student Card) either, but some relatively good stuff... Coupla 6230s, even a D500 or two... This message was posted from a Nokia

Video call your teacher with your problem?
If she's giving her personal cell number out to pupils,then she may well have a problem too.If she is genuinely helping via 3G after hours,that might sound particularly helpful,but in this day and age,that's just asking for trouble.
And yes,there is more than one teacher on this forum...
BTW,currently in Somerset West at the mo,visiting old fogeys at Heritage Manor,oh,and there's currently FULL signal on mother-in-law's MTN 3410...

@Kryptik: When I visited my little brother's high school kids had all sorts of phones, even better ones than people who are working...didn't see a "student card" tho. This message was posted from a K700i

@sIssIs,
Mainly various rumours about big Voda data price drops at this stage..we'll just have to watch this space,I guess.

Dunno what part of Somerset West you were referring to as regards MTN;were you referring to MTN signal or MTN shops in the area?
We've driven the very short distance from Strand to Somerset West tonight,visited fuddy-duddies at Heritage Manor just past the Hi-Fi Corp billboard & storage + Spur signboards along the N2 into S-W, and MTN's reception has been excellent!
Do the traffic cops still enjoy trapping around Grabouw so much?

@ brix,
thanks,I shoulda fathomed that one out,I guess.(Doh!)
BTW,met an interesting Sunday Times journalist named Rowan 2 nights ago,while visiting the old legendary landmark restaurant called Dom Pedro in Roodebloem Street,in an area that had me stressing slightly about the safety of the hire car...ie. Woodstock.
Unfortunately he didn't seem to know any Argus journalists...

one problem tho, sometimes opera stays connected, and other times it loads the site and disconnects from 3G . if it keeps disconnecting its slower coz the phone offer to reconnect everytime. anyone know how i can get it to stay connected? on v800.

That's odd, i've never had any problems with Opera... @Amawanqa, Albert Einstein summed it up quite nicely... "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." No matter where we go, the buggers will be lurking...
